I feel like there was a sweet spot between the chaos and the normal posting, that we crossed many years ago. Then there was awhile when all of the 'spammers' went away, and the forum was just COMPLETELY dead.

Just so! I'm one of the "spammers", that try my best to keep this forum "spammed", during my lunchbreak, even if I often have to be without food all day. I love this Forum and Strato and "spam" with great joy...

Seriously? We're the best resource there is for getting to know about awesome power metal. Bar none, there is nobody with better power metal coverage than Black Wind Metal. I can't claim a lot of the credit for that, because of all the insane work our editor has put in, but I've done my part to make it possible. We've supported, both financially, and with publicity, a pretty large number of crowdfunding campaigns for smaller bands, and above all else, we're trusted. There's countless sites with a 5/5 rubber stamp that will tell you that everything is awesome, and within 2 weeks, you've realized that they're all just glorified release calendars. I choose to dedicate my free time to metal criticism because I'm invested in the success of the metal community, I want to see bands like Evertale, Lorenguard, Keldian and others get the publicity they deserve, and be able to give an honest assessment on what's going on in the world.



I'm also writing some music that would probably fit in the stoner rock genre, so there's that.
