Really? Well, I was wondering who the hell some of those guys were.
I don't really like the actor of Ford Prefect. He's too, er, black.

I'm not racist, but I think Ford was white in the book.
Not that it really matters, but I have never liked when they chance the plot, details or happenings, when they create movie of book and Ford is quite an important person.
I wonder if they are turning all five books into movies, or just the first part.
Just the first part i think. It starts to get a bit cofusing in part 2. But i would like to see the restaurant
Same for me with Ford. Dont know if he was white in the book or not, but i always thought so
And this guy who plays Arthur should really try to look more shabby and much more confused than in this other movie they mentioned on imdb...

Very interesting---I may try some of the suggested treatments! I'll let you know if they work!

I read almost any non-fiction. I got
the communist manifesto for valentine's day, so i've read that recently. i read John Taylor Gatto's
Dumbing Us Down during the hurricane, that's fun easy reading, super recommended by HvyMtlClickWitch.
I was in the middle of Chomsky's
Manufacturing Consent but i put it down temporarily to read D. Dennet's
Darwin's Dangerous Idea. i think that after i finish these two i will tackle some sort of instructional book.

Uh, right on. Good reading.

That genealogy stuff gets a little tedious though, eh? A begat B begat C begat D begat E the son of D the son of C the son of B the son of A....
Have you heard that theory about the priest's gene? I forget exactly how it goes, but apparently it's traced through Jewish males with the name Cohen or variations of it, if i remember correctly; I believe it's said to descend from Aaron and his progeny. I remember reading about it in middle school, it's really interesting.

variety stuff: spanish speakers authors, like García Márquez and many spanish writers, some classics, and about genres, well, historic novels are really keen, also but not really often because there´s not enough time, something light as comics, magazines, etc.

you´re so romantic!
I bought "Tales from the Alhambra", of Washington Irving. I´ve read it before, but as I lost it ( to be exact, I lent to a "friend"...) I had to buy it again.

(imo) awful book, boring as hell. In (very unlikely) case you don't know her, I highly recommend you all the books of Amélie Nothomb (
Antéchrista and
Robert des noms propres being a bit weaker than the rest, though), especially
Hygiène de l'assassin,
Les Combustibles,
Le Sabotage Amoureux,
Métaphysique des tubes,
Stupeur et Tremblements Biographie de la Faim and last but definitely not least
Acide Sulfurique. She is (imo again) the best writer (I know) of today.
