I think we all knew that this could happen someday, we only didn't wanna see it...
What happened to him is a very sad thing, but I think TT in the hospital is not a bad thing, cause he'll finally get the treatment he was in need. I'm sure after this period he's gonna come back much better.

That kinda thing happens to every band. Look at Helloween, or even Angra. They carried on fine, and the only thing that can keep Stratovarius from doing so is Tolkki's state, IMHO.

BTW, what exactly happened to the band? I've read a whole million of rumors, and got confused... can anyone refresh my memory?

Maybe I should not ask this, because alot of stupid, clueless people think fans aren't "owed" anything(even though we are partly responsible-REALITY TIME-for a bands livelihood)but, it would be great to have weekly news about Timo's progress because one thing we fans agree on is that we care about his health, and him as a person. The damn album can wait a while until he is better. I think Jorg&Jens kept this boat from sinking completely into the abyss,(at least for now) and we should encourage them, too. Only time will tell what is going to happen but, we can keep hope that all will go well, because thats all we have at this point.

What if Tolkki doesn't want to say anything about his state? He's been thru a lot lately, you know.

IMHO he'll recover faster if he recluses himself (ppl, it's for his own good)

I agree, it's better to let him alone with his recovery... Unfortunately, Browneyedgirl, people are not as fans as you and me, some of us are real fans, but many others are just waiting for the next news to tease Tolkki... It could damage him forever another shit-packet or an aggression, mental or physical..... I put myself far from Tolkki now, I don't want to ask him anything, I'll just wait and...hope (can't say pray because it is useless IMO).

Well, we did not hear from him for a month after the stabbing/Piorno Festival, and I made a fool of myself saying"All is well--no news is good news."
Then, next thing ya hear is TT hospitalized.
I hope the next time we hear from TT he comes here himself and speaks!
but, given the nature of his illness, and its severity, it may be at least couple months before he returns---or, more.
TT said once last Fall he ws getting off the 'Net entirely because of the ridicule from people&that lasted about a month. Maybe he should have kept to his original plan--I don't know. But, this internet teasing was only a drop in the bucket--there was the stabbing,Court Case, pressure of doing the album, Strato's split, his childhood problems, plus things that are none of our concern.

So, whatever he decides, we all need to just wait&hope for the best.

Mmm....I agree with Browney & Luca....the best way to keep people away from speculating is to keep them informed....however...any attack to Tolkki right now would be devastating so I think the best thing is that Tolkki doesn't speak for now...I know we're gonna impacient to hear about him (I'm alreadt...) but we must wait 'til he feels better and the best way to achieve that is to let him rest in company of his family & friends....luckily Jens took the leadership of Stratovarius while Tolkki's recovering...and IMHO he's doing a really great job...

If someday Timo decides to come back to the forum i know that people (At least us...his true fans) will receive him with arms wide open...So Timo, if you read this....Don't give up....do it for the people....do it for the music....do it for your family...but must important...Do it for You....

his new album, and he explains that
although he doesn´t speak with tolkki,
a common friend has told him that he´s
at home now and that he feels better.

Well , looks like we don´t have news again

lol ...um I read in a swedish metal mag..in the editorial..well this magazine is more black/death/grind oriented musically but 2 ppl had opinions about Timo Tolkki. One called him a "psychopath" which made me kinda angry..so stupid to use a word without thinking about it. The other guy called him "loonie". Altho I dont think they really meant anything about it..still its cool that lotsa people know of stratovarius and how great of a guitarist TOlkki is. People I know who are into heavier stuff also respect Tollki for the great songwriter he is.
