Ehh... Nothing exciting behind my name.

When Daniel and I started Sacred Embrace, I decided to get a really cheesy email address that just screamed "Metal" instead of my old address, which was the name of an old jazz standard. So I came up with "Iron Thunder," because it really doesn't mean much, you know those... stupid Power Metal phrases that sound catchy but don't have any meaning? Anyhow, that's it. It's my email address and I also use it on some forums.

Yep. Nothing interesting! (But some friends of my family, who know nothing about Metal, but love telling people about my website always get a kick out of my Iron Thunder name. I have NO idea why, but it's very funny...)

I am greatly amused by that. probably more than i should be!!

I remember my dad at last years xmas get together bragging to the family about how musically eclectic i am. He said all kinds of words i didn't even know he knew. Like "ska". It was great.

Pikkusielu, in english 'mean soul' (by the dictionary, I'd translate it 'mean, vicious and antisocial little creature').

Maybe a year ago I needed to create a login name and Pikkusielu just came to my mind.

2. It has become part of my identity
3. elegy is the singular form, "A composition that is melancholy or pensive in tone." something sad, for me

Because it's my first and second name, exactly as my father's name , I just love it sounds pretty cool for an artist

Jester is mine for a couple of reasons.

1st, my name is Jesse

2nd, I love playing practical jokes on people, friends, family, co-workers. I also like to make people laugh with all of my crude, insensitive jokes, and stories.

3rd, I took it from the movie "Top Gun". Jester was the call sign of one of the instructors. I liked it and it stuck.

Heiserich is a combination from "Geiserich" (you know, the Vandal-King who plundered Rome in 455 - I chose it as a nick in some LAN-Sessions, don't really know why... Guess, because it sounds so crappy ) and "heiser", the german word for hoarse. I modyfied my name spontaniously as I had a cold...

But it fits always, because I'm always hoarse *cough*, strained my voice too much on concerts, band-rehearsels, parties ... and still do. Perhaps I'm gonna be Lemmy II in a few years

1.)well, I thought it's quite a nice combination of "stratovarius", my fav band (of course ) and "hawk", my long-time nickname in some star-wars-roleplay.
2.)nothing too special, but I kinda identify myself with that hawk-character.
3.)nothing to explain about that, I guess...
4.)Hawk came to existence in that star-wars-roleplay in 1999, but I used the name already some time before. And I registered as stratohawk in the first stratovarius-forum, too bad it was erased...

1. It is something like my second name - my friends says nepi to me (most of them I know from the scouts).
2. Nepomuk is my real name in the scout and the short form is nepi. The idea came out in 1996 in a 2week-camp (yeah, I remember well) as Captain Jack entered the charts with its own song and it was so similar, I just replaced Jack with nepi... That's the story (don't laugh!)

well, my formal name should be Syringa Oblata - the biological name
Syren is the danish/swedish version
you may also find me using the nick "april-lilac", as that's the english version

no special reason for picking up that plant. i was born in april, the time lilac blooms, that's all.

sometimes i add an "S" to the end to make it like "Syren.S" [is Syren has been registered]
that S stands for many different things, depends on where do i use it. accidentally all my "idols" name start with an S...[what a mystery!>_<]

and...what does that name mean to me...nothing...everything...i've been using it so long and i don't know. all the other 'formal' nicknames i use are in chinese.

There is a long story that I must sometime write up, 'couse it will make a desent fantasy novel's starter I will tell the stories that have come to this nic only if someone really want's to hear

But for how it came up... well it was some forum several years ago (come to think of it, it was Severance - Blade Of Darkness developpers Rebel Act Studios forum ) it was the first forum I ever joined, and I was heartbroken when it went down got emotional I think... but that time I spent about half an hour trying to figure out SOMETING that you don't come by every day... then it struck me! I remembered a damn cool stryline of Legacy Of Kain (games, and sometimes they don't climb above avarage in gameplay nor teknics, but it's the storyline that really sucks you in ), the tale about a vampire lord and in sequels, his six sons... I came up with the idea of becoming the seventh son of the allmighty lord... the nic has written it's own story eventually as I said, but won't bore you with it unless you really want

And as I use this nic in every forum I use, and even as my MSN name, it has become my second personality, literally even couldn't change it to anything else, just couldn't work for me and it wouldn't be the same thing anymore

and... I think this one is all the same in every damn language though all comparisons to bible's character of same name I ask you to leave to their own right, I got nothing to do with "brother slayer"

I am a big fan of thrash metal and Testament is one of my favorite bands. Nothing gets me going more than thrash metal and so it was only fitting to pick a name that burns all over the place.
