Sad news, Jari is a monster bassist. I wonder who the replacement will be? I don't really know a lot of crazy ass bassists like that. Maybe steve Digorgio (however you spell it). He'd be a good choice and is like a hired hand I think.

I thought it was just a rumor, but reading it from TT words shocked me a lot.

I can't say I'm happy with this situation... but I do wish good luck to Jari.
Surely it isn't the best news I read through the week... specially because the last thing the band needs right now is such uncomfortable situation.

I agree with you Christiane. It feels strange that Jari has left the band because when Stratovarius was recording the upcoming album TT wrote to the Finnish side that they are having really fun there. The midsummer festival (juhannus) feeling is gone.

It is sad because Jari has been in Stratovarius a dozen years. Actually, most bands don't even stay together that long, so it will take adjustment to get used to another player.

Whoever the next bassist is , he's certainly not as great as Ïari. This is very sad news indeed.

wtf... that's sad news. though I think that it will not produce a new crisis, it's still a hard punch for the band (and for us, the fans). Jari was the 2nd long-time member after TT. And hell, he is SUCH A GREAT BASS PLAYER!!! Think of that fuckin fast part in destiny-solo... we will miss him. He's such a kewl guy (had the luck to meet him).

So of course we wish him all the best!! Man, I hope Stratovarius find someone who fits as good in that great band as Jari...

Seiska is an all-out gossip magazine, which makes up most of its material. I wouldn't depend on it.. besides, we're going to get an official statement soon anyway, at least that's what TT said..

The Seiska really is the shittest magazine ever published in Finland, but if the leak is true, it would be quite nice. I namely see only Lauri Porra who can replace Jari. He actually is even better player than Jari.

Sinergy, Kotipelto, Warmen for example. And he is a former bassist of TunnelVision too.

there's a big difference between changing the singer and changing the bass player I don't think they'll split the band because of Jari's no longer here. Also TT said that he was lookin' for a bass player, and it's so much known that the replacement for jari will be Lauri Porra, awesome bass player by the way. And also there's a full tour annonced ... the only thing that is rare is that hammerfall haven't announced in their website the tour with Strato

Come on guys! Take us Lauri and show the world WHO THE POWER METAL KINGS ARE!!!!

It will be sad to see Jari on the video while he's not on the band now...
