Umm...You must have missed the part where the tour manager did *confirm* via email. Shall I post it here or would you say that I'm making that up as well? It's funny how the other remaining nine bands did the same thing and were able to make their signing sessions. Plus, Jorg was in the room when I spoke to AC about it, so feel free to confirm it with him when he gets off tour.

As for the organziational comment, Strat was the only band of the night to run behind schedule. This was a festival setting and not a Stratovarius show with opening bands. I'll leave it at that and let you believe as you will.

It is true that it is not the band's fault regarding the signing session cancellation. However, the reason the band gave you is total bullshit and they probably aren't aware of it either.

First and formost, I mean no disrespect to you or your staff. I was there and I enjoyed every friggan second of it (and already making plans to return again for next year).

As I look back at what I said, I should've said "the fuck-up apparently (not "truly") was on the part of the festivals". The band did not feed me bullshit, however. Timo K. simply told me that they did not know about the signing until the last minute, which was simply due to nobody having informed them, which seems to indeed be the case. I made the assumption it was an error on the side of the festival organizers (well, you know what they say about "assume"ing anything - as in "making an ASS out of U and ME"). That was a mistake on my part. My apologies, and thanks for the clarification.

I personally thought the whole thing was quite well organized. I could only imagine what a mammoth project that has to be to put something like that together. I would not even know where to begin if I was to take on something like that! However, unfortunatly, especially in something that big and complex, which, no doubt, required much coordinating with many different people and organizations, mistakes can and do happen, which seems to be the case here. Hey, we are all human here ("To err is human, but to really fuck something up, you need a computer!" - Yes, I am a software engineer by profession - and that is coming from experience ).

I guess all we can do at this point is just suck it up, learn from it, and march on. At least, I eventually did get the signtures I wanted from the band, though. Just never thought it would be in my own neighborhood!

Also, accept my thanks for putting on one friggan totally kick-ass show! That was one hell of a ride, from beginning to end!

There show in Atlanta was good! It's the only show i actually ended up getting to see tho.... :/ I was too drunk on Salmiakki and vodka tonics to remember anything else.....

So i assume the rest was good!

Going here and arguing with the fans of a band why they were late or why the signing session was fucked up?? Yeah that looks really professional!

By all means, post that email (or just type in a new one)

The final performance of the festival was the band we have waited to come over here for the past 5 -1/2 years and the main reason why we flew down to Atlanta for this festival: the US debut of Finland’s own Stratovarius!!! They were a few minutes late coming onstage, however we enjoyed their intro and opening movie before they hit the stage. The band looked and sounded unbelievable, and played for a total of 2 hours. Vocalist Timo Kotipelto seemed very happy to be performing for the first time in the US. He made sure the crowd screamed after he announced “A few nights ago, we played in Mexico City, and the crowd was very fucking loud!”

When their set was over, Timo K, wanted one more thing from all of us: to count to four in Finnish. The crowd screamed out the 4 count 3 times before the band took their final bows. An unbelievable performance to end the festival.
