Hey, according to all dictionaries and the way people act, a woman does NOT have to sleep with or fuck or make love with a musician to be classed as a groupie. Its an action and attitude, not morals involved.
And groupie is NOT an ugly word until some catty females made it that way.

And, Jens is the Master. he made Malmsteen in his day, and he has made great contribution to Stratovarius. I am learning the keyboard, too and its fun but also just as challanging as guitar.

You don't have any idea about groupies here in Chile. And in Brazil too (and I'm sure in other countries is the same). Ok, maybe those women don't sleep with musicians, but those are the ones who are rejected by them. And they say they sleep with this or that guy just showing a pic with that guy when the only thing they got was sleeping with the rodies...

What I amtrying to say is there are ladies who sleep with musicians and call it "love" or philosophical, then they will look down on sexy "groupies". or theres these ladies who don't sleep with musicians, but everytime one comes to town they run and kiss their ass and try to spend time with them even though no sex. Still, I think these ladies can be classed as groupies by definition. And they look down on sexy groupies as well. The only thing different in the behavior is no sex.
I think if somebody lies like that they can be discovered easily enough, though.

you both are right... and we have plenty of this shitty sluts here in brazil.
basically most of those groupies don't sleep with the musicians, but because the musicians don't want to fuck them. that's why in most of the times they end up fucking with the roadies or with someone of the crew.
How do you think they get their backstage passes? probably not by the musicians hands, i bet.
Or maybe all they get is just an invitation for some party they'll probably show up, nothing more than that.

And yes, the attitude is disgusting, because it's not related with being a musician/band fan at all... it's all about taking pics so then they can put that on the web and tell people or their other groupie friends that they fucked musician "X", or make insinuations that they had “party” the whole night with band "Y", whatever.

What counts is the disgusting attitude and only if they're fucking stupid (what’s probably true, once most groupies I saw in my life were dumb as hell) to believe the musicians and other people don't know what they're looking for. :

But you can't generalize the musicians' behavior towards them. Some may want to be with them, some others are not simply interested even if the ladies show up almost naked. I can't say every musician is an angel as well as you can't say every musician will fuck the groupies. It depends on each person individualy.

And Miguel_Ricardo is right, it's funny seeing the musicians escaping from them.
