Coz the milan gig was on the Elements tour. On this tour they´ve played only Eagleheart from the Elements and that only in the European leg.

Aah, no Drop in the Ocean there :( So the only good song from Elements there is Soul of a Vagabond... SOAV and "medley" are only ones that interests me a bit more (of course there are many many better strato classics in the set, but they always play them...)

Actually Drop in the Ocean was the ending song played while the band bowed to the crowd and said good bye.

Ohh, cool. And eventhough it's in wmv it still quite good quality... what will it be like in the formats that in mpeg2?!

(do I remember right, that the format on DVD-films must be mpeg2?)

It seems, that there was a very big crowd in Sao Paolo. This DVD is going to be awesome! Can't wait.

It was some short "trailer" of that dvd... Destiny's intro was played backside and camera show crowd... nothing special.

Wow, thanks for that! :) I really want to get my hands on the DVD now. The crowd seemed insane, and the camera work was (at least for the trailer) quite professional.

And people were really insane there... it was impossible to get near from the stage... I kept myself quite far, otherwise I'd get smashed in the middle of the crowd.
i can't wait also for this dvd, the set list was amazing! At least for me :D

And I wish it includes not only the live performance, but off-stage filming & other stuff too!

But doesn´t the Infinite Visions have enough off-stage stuff and others?

No, because they have Jens there, and actually the clips from the South-American tour before the show contained some very nice and funny moments. (Specially Lauri seemed to be crazy. :P ) That kinda stuff should be also on the DVD.

Well.. how about I make some deal with you.. we will try to see if we can include some of Milan on the DVD as well.

This is what we have to pick from.

Here is the São Paulo set:

Maniac Dance
Speed of Light
Kiss of Judas
Legions
Twilight Symphony
Will the Sun Rise
bass solo
ice and snow
united
against the wind
season of change
father time
coming home
destiny
HHAL
visions
black diamond

It's about 2h.

The footage looks great so far.. in my opinion it looks better than Milano.. and I think the band plays better than in Milano as well.

Then we MIGHT have the Milan songs -- for which there is some rough cut and a 5.1 mix -- but which are NOT on the above list:

Eagleheart
Find your Own Voice
Soul of a Vagabond
Medley
Elements
Paradise

Some of those songs.... fuck i love some of those songs, I have to admit. That's like.. 35 minutes? 2h 35 minutes? Would be a DVD9 for sure. Maybe not... but otoh why not? Should fit some bonus stuff on there sa well. Fuck.. have to think about this. Subject to band discussions and deadlines of course, too.

We also have some material from Wacken (2003). Three songs which are also on the São Paulo tapes. For that there is no edited video (or transfered video..), just 5.1 mixes.

And that RMJ concert but I'm not sure if it's a cut version of the raw tapes.. we have no 5.1 mix ready for that.

"Complicated"

And what about putting Stratofortress as well. That was a really fun perform in my opinion... the elks were fun, and the song was insane. :)

But the list so far looks brilliant. It can only become better.

2:35 is not THAT long. For example on Dream Theater's Live At Budokan, the main gig is 3 hours long and there is a bonus disc with a multiangle Instrumedley and other stuff (for those who have seen it, Portnoy's Solo-thing is just awesome :D), all for 25 euros (while even Infinite Visions - one disc, 2:30 - is about the same price on Stratoshop).

yes, 2:35 plus features is not a bid deal (to watch, i'm sure you are killing yourselves with editing and such) but i think it better not to compromise anything, as long as the footage is good and most of the concert is there, i am more than happy to buy the dvd.
