Ari is not a bad singer- he did a pretty good job on the Deep Purple cover, and a decent job on the Strato cover.
If you want to see a truly awful idol-type show, look no further than American Idol. Simon is really the show's only redeeming quality.

Basically, my opinion is anyone entering in a competition like this is just asking for ridicule, and cannot be taken seriously as a professional musician. It's the height of whoring yourself out purely for success. Honestly, what other reason would anyone have for entering something like that?

Well, some people really love singing and I don't see anything bad about these Idols competitions. Although the system is really corrupted by recordcompanies and schoolgirls, it's a great way to find new singers out from the bush. Come on, it's really hard to make a working demo in order to get atention, in order to get money, in order to become a professional musician these days. Well, if I'll volunteeer for the next idols contest, I'll totally make a whore out of myself for publicity
