Nope, Ignorance is the only source of evil, mostly, because being selfish is being ignorant to what other people do, think, want or need.

Oh yeah, if the outsiders can suddenly become threatening and exact 'revenge' for all that's been done against them (real or imagined) then of course it becomes something attractive to attempt.

Well, I'll say this. In some schools people are going to start thinking long&hard before the make someone who is "different"(by societys standards and turn them into a damn personal punching bag!

Yesterday was 12th anniversary of the Dayton agreement, the day when war officially stoped here in Bosnia. I still remember that feeling, when I heard real shooting for the first time, guns, granates, thousands of bullets, and I was just a 11 years old kid. And today, after 14 years I cant still remember that September morning and that creepy feeling which paralyzing my senses.
So when I'm pissed off, I ain't going to shoot some kids around, I'm just listening music, and that's all. And when the next war starts here, and it will, I'm sure, cuz we like wars here in Bosnia, I ain't going. Politicians should go to war, cuz “war is a big rubbery which explains itself with big ideas” (Dobrica Cosic).

Oh certainly. Every action has an equal an opposite reaction, simple physics which I believe is relevant in such cases.
But that doesn't give anyone the right to kill. People who do that have serious problems and need help, and they need to be noticed and taken care of before they can pose a threat to themselves and the others around them.

In the old old days, the kings&leaders of countries would go into battle and fight alongside their troops. They had balls! Not so any more. These days the leaders would not have the guts! The leaders just send their countries men into battle to fight for them.

SrJo has a point though. If he's angry, he's not going to go around shooting people in a school or workplace. Such behaviour cannot be justified.

But it's still understandable, I can imagine that if too many things just gone through my ass and I was really tired of everything I really f***ing would NOT think about what is right, just give people what I FEEL they deserve.
Althrough I'm happy with my life so I have no need to, you just need faith.

Yeah, I know about that, but the time is different now, and people are different. In the old days people was fighting for their lives and their freedom. But these days, people are fighting because they are manipulated buy the politicians. We are blind!!!

I understand what Exe Knight is saying. Going nuts and shooting people is never excueable. OTOH, yu have to be bullied&an outsider&a punching bag to understand that kind of pain. It CAN destroy a persons life. Hundreds if not thousands of teen suicides occur every years due to assholes who love to pick on people.
The USA has found a solution to this stupidity. There is a law on the table which is going to make domestic violence, bullying&Cyberbullying a Hate crime! Finally! Now, if a person cannot get relief through "normal" means, they can get it on a Federal level. Homeland Security, anyone?
A LE person I know told me of a true incident which happened up North a few months ago. At a school 3 girls hated each other. VERY much. Anyway, somehow GirlA stole GirlBs password to a Forum. GirlA pretended to be GirlB on this forum&bashed GirlC relentlessly for a few days. The Mods on this forum personally did not like GirlC, so they let it happen. Bad mistake. GirlC met GirlB somewhere&beat the holy shit out of GirlB thinking she was the one who flamed her on that Forum! GirlB was beaten so badly she spent a day or so hospitalized.
To make a long story short: GirlA, who started the mess in the first place, lost her internet privileges, GirlB got a stern lecture about being careful about passwords&GirlC, the duped one, had to pay GirlBs hospital bills, got a lengthy probation of assault charge, and lost internet service for a time. Oh, and the selective Mods lost their jobs, too, because they could've nipped the shit in the bud, but chose not to just because of personal feelings.
So, I hope that bill passes. It would save people a ton of grief in the end.
Its a damn shame a law has to be passed to Force people to be polite&treat others as humans, but thats how it is.
