Well, since you asked.

It means someone who's not very technical wants it to appear as if the forum and site is down, and did this suddenly without informing the fans why. Presumably this is to play with the feelings of people who are still emotionally invested in the band, ie, to incite the same type of "OH NOES IS THE BAND DEAD"/ "OH TEHY ARE BACK FROM TEH DEAD!' type of vibe that the "Harvester" poster did last year in the old RR forum (before that was taken down for some vague "legal reasons" which was right before the new RR site was up.)

Playing with fans' feelings like this, it is disgusting..... truly disgusting.

As you noticed, whichever idi.. I mean person did this left permissions to read the "/forum" directory. By not noticing that it had an "x" flag (as in "rwx"), and not properly setting "Options -indexes" for the entire site.

If you scroll down, you'll see that whichever dimwi.. I mean, whoever it was who did this simply renamed "index.php" to "indexx.php". Thus,

still works and brings up the (still spam ridden) forum. I guess this is a possible explaination also for the posting of rumors of the band's breakup earlier, and why all the spam (and even child pornography links) was allowed there, and also the strange myspace friends list tomfoolery the other day. Woo hoo! "Oh noes!? WTF!? etc etc". Let's see if "someone" fixes it as soon as they see this post.

I guess me and Sherlock Browneyedgirl sort of guessed and hinted at this already..

Anyway, if you ask me I think RR are doing just fine both strategically and musically. I heard (from someone who should know) that they are all but certain to have a really good tour this fall, opening for a band you all will know well (no, not Stratovarius ). I think it would be a great thing for them if it happens. It's not confirmed yet, but for sure this talk of RR's death is highly exaggerated. Whoever it is who is trying to suggest it...

Maybe it's because I got wasted as hell and saw Ensiferum and Necrophagist last night, but I feel a pretty bad headache right now. It's like I wake up to check up on my favorite bands and I get a headache...pretty lame imo
