Stratovarius Community

In my opinion some other song will be better than improvisations. Idea of this CD is simple. It has been unreleased songs so far. I propose Will My Soul Ever Rest in Peace but it's only suggestion. It also was played on a few shows.

I agree with ragehead that isnt fair that we have to buy that version again, if we want that live edition. I am 15-year old guy so CD:s are pretty expensive for me Of course that isn't your fault but i'm not glad for that. i'll buy that anyway I CANT WAIT FOR KING OF NOTHING!!!!!

my choice for live cd would have been the band playing the whole cd live and then some songs from the first three albums to fill up the rest. i think that would really be cool to get bonus disks of a album played through live and it would be nice to hear some of those first three album songs live and sung by kotipelto

This is totally ridiculous! If you don't wanna have Polaris again, then stop arguing and complaining to Jens trying to persuade him to make something different, and just don't buy it! I personally don't care having Polaris again, as much as I have this upcoming live CD in my hands.

And about the setlist, some good and still bad points about not including BD in it. Good one: Let's face it, it's time for a lil' change; and although I love the live performance of the song, I gets you tired a lil' bit (opposite to HHAL, which I still don't get tired of listening live ). Bad one: As somebody has said here, they always change the way it's introduced, and sometimes some of them are awesome (like Jens' solo at the beginning at this last tour), so it's a pity to lose this opportunity; besides, a classic will always be a classic, no matter how tired you are of it

I think I'll try to sell the Polaris copy I already have (which I bought 23 euros...) to buy this. I'm not enough rich to buy again and again. Edel should have decided to release a 2CD live album, it would have been more intelligent.

Why, I have never gotten bored of any Strato songs, even though I saw Black Diamond, HHAL & stuff live three times last year and must've listened them from the albums as well. Quite frankly, I don't think I can get bored of Stratovarius.

I've seen them live 11 times now. Still not bored

Being bored is a personal thing, not something against the band. The band can't control how a person chooses to react; only the listener has the choice.

I think that we, as a group of Strato fans, don't get easily bored with their music. That's what he tried to point out

Of course, she always wanted to have Polaris but only for "Winter Skies", "Somehow Precious" and "When Mountains Fall" (she loves Strato ballads so badly). And about that question, it's something really personal and I've told somewhere a while I would not tell it

Seriously, i don't know .. Edel said they wanted some live stuff, they want to bundle it with Polaris, it's OK with me. Probably they think more about the 7 billion people left on the planet who have not bought Polaris yet, than the maybe 90000 or whatever it is who did buy it.

If i think about it, the price is like a normal full price CD? You can perhaps look at it as a live CD with a "bonus" Polaris CD in the same package.. the glass is not half empty, it's half full! So when you're tired of my megaphone singing and order it, if you have Polaris already, just give that extra CD to someone else..

This wasn't in anyway directed against you guys. This was directed against your lable. I'd love to have a new live album but I don't want to buy Polaris again. Nuclear Blast did a similar thing with the Rage EP "Gib Dich Nie Auf". You could only buy it bundeled with "Carved In Stone" in stores and I think they also upped the price. It is great for people who've never heard of the band but if you already own the damn thing you don't want to spent extra money for something you already have only to get 3 (I already had the german version of Fullmoon and the "Into The Light" Sampler) new songs. But at least in that case you could order the EP from their website. I'll wait until they announce the price. If it is normal price then I'll probably buy it.

Yes, I was upset with that EP too, never bought it.. I probalby had if they they only released it as an eP (Gib dich nie auf). I may buy this CD though end sell the old one cheap;)

And please keep Father time inm the setlist! At least during the Sweden rock show!
