no at all, in fact, if you sit down in a keyboard and try to play an strato song or an abba song.....you will learn an strato song first...this blew my mind some time ago.
stratovarius songs are easy on piano. except the guitar/key solos  :x

that song is a blueprint for a good pop tune.

well , there are guys saying it's easy when it's not solos. what is he playing when he is not soloing? he plays chords, , melodic patterns, and arps. it's rather binary to say it's easy apart from solos. it's only natural that a supporting instrument would be easy parts, just like the power chords the guitar plays so much for the rythem section.

Now we're talking :). Indeed, if a song doesn't have solos, it compensates with meoldic chordes and armonies like ABBA did. But on the other hand, if you give to choose between them, solos are more entertaining to listen

When i do piano covers, i try to play as much of the 'main' line as possible, so when the piano goes to playing chords and stuff, I switch to trying to do the vocal lines and such.

the hardest part about the solos is the speed. I have to use software to slow down the solos for me to work out the solo note by note.

Blah blah fucking blah. Try playing strato solos on a kazoo.

No reason to be ashamed of, and even more if the solos are from Jens

with piano arrangements of songs, they can really be made in so many ways that can add or take away difficulty. there's so many ways to personalise the arrangement and work with nuance. one can really do acoustic things that aren't going to show up in the metal amped up synthesizer form of the song.

You're on the good way my friend. The good layne so to speak :)

Next thing you know is that you're trying kramer and you can't eat properly because you can't hold food with your hands because of the pain. Then comes czerny and you need local anesthesia. Only Then you'll reach the "decent" line and you'll get hired to make jingles :)

it's interesting how the human mind works, some pieces we can do quite easily where as others we have to keep polishing it to make it sound well.

and it's always different pieces for different people
