As far as I'm concerned, a power metal melody consists of both guitar and keyboard. Don't get me wrong, I loved Polaris and how Jens played mostly every solo while Matias made a backing riff...But you have to admit that the guitar and dual solos Elysium has are mindblowing

Agreed. But I finally want to hear somethink like "All Opposable Thumbs" from Jens again. Damn, he should make another solo album.

So I think I'll have the album in my hands on 11-12 cause in France, amazon.fr the release date is 10/01. Let's hope it's true! I want it on 14 in my hands cause I wanna listen to the album while travelling to Madrid to see the show!

Well, almost the whole interview is about the maniac dance Stratovarius had and that Jens was very lazy while composing for Elysium, but Matias was plenty of ideas. That scares me cause if Jens is lazy...means that he is not happy with Stratovarius?!

Interesting too, the part when he says that they could have had a big chance to became really famous with the Sactuary deal.

"Lazy" in composing? No, I didn't get that kind of impression while reading, maybe it's the translator which gave you that feeling (I hope so)?
I understood that (no news) all of them had lots of ideas, mainly Matias and then Lauri, but that Jens also wrote more than we can hear on the album now, but he had been busy with other issues...?

Doubt that. It's totally normal that someone is lazy, actually, it's abnormal if someone isn't.

The German translation gave me more of an impression that he was kind of lazy there, cause he was somehow busy otherwise - but re-reading it now, I think you're right, it's meant the way you understand it.
But still, I wouldn't read more into it.

I've noticed that i really like the vocals on this album, same thing with Polaris. It always seemed to me that Tolkki was trying to get that immensly high pitch off of TK and now he himself has more control over it.
