Didn't Bush say he went to Irak because he wanted to free the country from that horrible way of living? Why doesn't he bother to help Cuba that is right below the USA? Yes, you are right. But they have been doing it for thousands of years. Why now all of a sudden you are interested in sorting out their own problems? Don't you see there is an economic interest behind?
If you really want to help someone, you don't do it with violence. Why don't you defend the rights of black people whom you have literally massacred? Why don't you abolish the death penalty in all states? That is also inhumane. Why don't you help all those southamerican people coming to the USA looking for a better life? You see??? What annoys me about all the talk about Osama is the myopia, the preoccupation with current affairs and the lack of a grand perspective. I think that's almost a uniquely American problem. Don't get me wrong, I think America is a great country, but politically and historically many Americans seem to be a little... well.. less informed. By the way, did you know that Osama bin Laden was never formally charged with the 911 attacks? Also, did Osama's death and all the rejoicing over that bring back the people who died on September 11th, 2001? I wish people would try to see beyond the surface.

I hate to agree, kind of. One big reason why 911 was such a huge shock is that the distribution of wars in the 20th century were geographically highly unequal. There were no significant military conflicts in the western hemisphere (i.e. the Americas), with one exception, the Chaco war.

Considering the economic state of many European countries(and many of them are in rapid financial decline), I think people in these countries have some gall to criticize USA about anything. These failing countries cannot blame USA for their mess, although I bet some will try. This time around the European Union is not going to bail out any more countries--they cannot afford it. So, before you throw your nasty shit toward USA, think about your own countries problems.

You are right about one thing. My husband and I do own a couple guns, and we are not ashamed of it.Because we know if a really bad catastrophic disaster occurs lazy soft people will come out of the cities in gangs looking for a way to survive. A couple of guys got themselves shot when they thought they could rummage through the tornado gutted areas looking for stuff to steal, and sell. Turns out these bastards were meth addicts looking for valuables people might've left behind. If it had been food these dopeheads were looking for they would have easily found it at all the relief centers that were set up.
The point is, Southerners have worked hard for their possessions, and be damned if any lazy no-good is coming in and taking it. So, you and your ilk can throw that Redneck word around all you want, it actually does not mean anything, only a total worthless smartass uses it. The term comes from the fact that ages ago poor Southerners used to work in the fields until their necks were red and sunburned. Hence, the term stuck. I am sorry but, how can you compare northamerica and southamerica? I mean, they have nothing to do. If there are BIG differences in the USA from one state to the other, and even from one southamerican country to the other, imagine comparing southamerica to northamerica, that's ridiculous.
By the way, you say you don't understand the way the Islamists live, but maybe many people don't understand how (unfortunately) many southamerican countries have dictatorships.
