Well, it's been here like that till the beginning of the 20th century I think. Since then it's more or less equal here.

Males are cannot take holiday easily for their family.
Make tea is female's work in the company.
When female advises, male's boss is feeling bad.
Middle-aged male employees call by female employees "girls".
There are many such companies in our country.

I heard yesterday.
Japanese language has 1945 kanjis Commonly used.
But Japanese sounds are 108.
English is 26 Alphabets , but sounds are many about 2000, I heard.
I heard that Japanese is a visual language and English is a hearing language ,
visual language uses left side brain, and hearing language uses right side brain.
Therefore may be Japanese people poor at talking than in English reading and writing.

There are many kanji that "can read but can't write."

I usually use "Konnichiwa" and "Doumo".
When I meet friends after a long time, I use "Hisashiburi!"

Same here !
I asked once my Japanese teacher (who IS Japanese) how to write "himitsu" and he couldn't remember !
But the most embarrassing is "have been known but forgotten". This is only for French people.

I can write "himitsu" !
Can I become a teacher?
"have been known but forgotten".
Why only French people?

I can too !

Because "Sore wa himitsu desu" is the favorite phrase of a guy from an anime (Slayers), and one of my friends love this guy. It's also my favorite anime but I hate this character and sometimes we have fun with that... the thing that angries her most is when I say "do you think someone who can only say "it's a secret" is intelligent?"
Besides, this character is named Xelloss, but Japanese katakana is Zerosu and I told my friend that his name is the plural of Zero, another proof he isn't smart at all.
"have been known but forgotten".
Why only French people?
I mean than I also forget the meaning and pronounciation of kanji. I've got a very bad memory... but I don't think this can happen to Japanese people, isn't it?

Well
Many cases it will happen to us forget how to write a Kanji.
But probably we remember meaning and pronunciation in many of kanji.

"Zatouichi" is story of old Japanese.
It so Samurai movie.
Takeshi's Zarouishi is remake movie.
Old one is "Shintaro Katsu" performed.
This movie is his masterpiece.
If you ask to Japanese people which "Who is Zatouichi's actor?"
many people maybe say "Shintato Katsu".
Zatouishi is blind.
His job (On the surface) is a masseur.
But he is the strongest swordsman.
The sword is hidden in his cane.
His style is "Iai".
Iai is very speedy motion.
If he extracts a sword, it will mean death.
I think Zatouichi is the man of justice.
Takeshi Kitano has many work ,
I think his main work is Comedian!
Yup, a samurai movie !
I have to see it...
I read in the newspapers that this movie recently obtained an award in Italy. So it's surely great.

Hm, I cannot imagine how German could be easier than Englisch

For me it's almost the other way around although I don't speak English as fluently as German (well, almost). But well, if I can help you with something, no problem

(Aber okay, wenn du was Japanisches auf Deutsch erklären willst, und ich das dann auf Englisch übersetze....wieso eigentlich nicht? Hört sich lustig an!)

If I give you my birthdate, could you tell me which kind I am?
I know I'm pig (1983/03/25) in Chinese horoscope. I'm not very happy about that, pigs are so ugly and dumb... (and besides, they stink.)
I wish I had been a dragon!
