i can't believe why there are people who don't have any idea that those words in spanish mean in english... (:S.. i don't know if you understand.. i can't speak english as well...)...

but if you want.. i can teach anybody to learn some words in spanish.. it's to easy.. and i think it could be interesting.. (it's correct to say "interesting?" o.o..)...

You have to write in English in this part of the forum, so it's more useful that people try to write in a correct English than learn some words in Spanish. And not everybody can speak Spanish, I mean, I could say it's a shame that not everybody understands if I write in French.

And if you really want to write in a correct Spanish, it's not that easy (for you I guess it's easy, but not that much when you learn this idiom, the grammar is full of little traps!)

And yes, I was surprised as well when I saw the guy is 42!

hehe .. i know in this part of the forum the english is the language to use.
but i only said that because... ehm.. i think must there some people who are curiously to know a little from another languages, (at least i am interested to know Finnish, Japanese, Chinese, and another more languages.. exactly i don't know why ). ....
at least i consider that is imporant to learn at least a little from another lenguages... you don't where you must to need it... i know english is a language used in the entire world, but in some countries there are people who can have no idea to say, write or pronounce the most useful word in english :S...

It's true that it's a bit unfair to force people to learn and use English (we could say, why more English than Spanish?), but since that's the case, I'm strongly in favour of speaking and writing in a correct English, and not creating a litter-language, with only simple words and full of grammar mistake. If we use a language, we have to respect it. In every country people fight for the respect of their language (yes, some are quite extremist!) this quest deserves respect.

In this forum, the good point is that you have threads to speak in your own language, so if you want to write in another one (i.e. Chinese for you), you can learn words and improve your writing. But this is the only place in which you can post in other languages (except Finnish, but it's quite normal!), otherwise it would be a real mess.

Actually, knowing that he is 42 makes the thing even more funny.

Maybe at work and home is life gives him a lot of stress and the board is the only place he can relax There are so many things we can imagine because of his behavior!

Okay, sorry. This guy reminds me of this "Season of Change" guy from RR forum who always acts like he was the sixth member of Strato.

if we take it from the "musician point of view" it could be like:
a musician who only plays heavy Metal, and Metal is the only genre he can play... but.. there are also.. musicians who plays heavy metal... but can play anothers genres too.. like jazz, or blues, classic rock, even another kind of metal... but the genre that musician more can play.. is Heavy Metal...
he will never know when is necesary tu play jazz, or blues, etc...
still when the musician knows a little of each genre...

I agree, it's good to know a little about other languages, music styles, etc. All I meant was that we should try to keep a minimum quality when we write (or play another music style. One doesn't play jazz without knowing at least some scales and chords). This was mainly directed to FiredanceIdon'trememberhowmuch...

I agree. It is always good to know other languages, but for the sake of understanding eachother we shoudl keep it english since this is the language that most of the forum members here know how to write in. I don't think Stratoforum is the right place for linguistic studies.
