I think the closest guys we had to Metal that won such a show in Germany were Martin Kesici (He even recorded a song with Tarja Turunen).

Oh my God! I never expected to find this in youtube! What a fantastic surprise! I love this song although I think it was not a good choice to sing in a choir.
