- Area51 (Japan). I like this female singer better than the one from Alhambra. She has a "penetrating" sustained voice with almost no vibrato:

- Emir Hot (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The singer is none other than John West. This band supposedly has an Eastern European theme going on (musically speaking). The album is titled "Sevdah Metal" and, according to a description I found on youtube, "Sevdah is the traditional Bosnian music which expresses pure love and longing emotions":

- HolyHell (U.S.). This band is probably better known than the other ones. I read they are from New York, but I'm sure Maria Breon isn't. She has a southern accent (notice how she pronounces "life", "light", "sky", etc.). Cute accent.:

- Kyrie Eleison (Argentina). I'm pretty sure I posted this one before, but whatever. I love the lyrics to the song "Children of Pain". This song talks about poverty among street children in Argentina. It applies well to the current climate of increasing insecurity in the country. Listen to it here:

- Toccata Magna (Brazil). The singer could be better, but I really like the elements borrowed from Andean music, which is actually Bolivian, Peruvian, and Ecuadorian, but I guess Brazil is close enough.. Too bad I could only find one song.
