I reckon every part of cows and pigs are edible, even their balls(mountain oysters ). Even pig skins can be cooked(fried pork rinds), which are called Cracklings by southern people. Cracklings can be eaten as a snack(with beer), or in cornbread. The reason they are called cracklings is obvious: they are very crunchy but sometimes get so hard they can crack your teeth if you bite down on them.

Southerners have weird tastes in food. Thats why that guy on the Travel Channel has done several shows about Southern cooking.

Up until a couple decades ago, a Hog Killing was cause for a big celebration in the South. A hog would be slaughtered and several family members would help, and then get a share of the meat. Of course the owner would keep the Hams, after all he fed and grew the animal.

I get pork rinds every once in awhile but mostly if I'm going to get a snack I prefer pretzels

Oh yea, pork rinds are called "chicharron" down here and I gotta say they are freakin' good.

I like the spicy kind, though I can't have them as much anymore since they give me heartburn

the most tasty part of that picture was the hawk eye. very fun to kill hawks and eat them. one more way to enjoy hot chicks.

I just had a Krispe Kreme doughnut. I swear they put cocaine in them, they're so addictive...

Yeah, those KK Doughnuts are great! Especially the ones with chocolate!

The KKK donuts without any chocolate are also good in taste; it’s just the ideology than I think is even more dangerous.

I voted for burgers. Donuts, cake, ice cream? That's dessert, it's not in the same league!

And BK is better than McD, even though the brazilian exclusive Cheddar McMelt is a tough contender.
