This was only the second live show in 2014 according to the list! It was great fun and here is a video capturing one of the songs on the setlist.
For all the fans going to see Stratovarius live in 2014: enjoy, have fun and let the weather be nicer as we had a rainy night over here. See you around the globe!

I love these old songs in D minor!
It almost sounds more 80's with Jens and the key change. Like a workout montage.

For long away, "Elysium" is the best album after elements saga.....
"Stratovarius" ear as a Irom maiden cd with some classical variations....
"polaris" is a Transition cd.... that have a huge mix of both stratovarius
"Elysium" is master piece of the new stratovarius
"Nemesis" looks as a experimental cd or maybe I'm wrong.... i'm sorry if i hurt to someone here....
but I think that stratovarius have a huge golden future running for the "Elysium" Path.....
but of course..... maybe i'm not the most correct guy to say this.

7.10. Lutakko, Jyväskylä
8.10. Klubi, Turku
9.10. House of Rock, Kouvola
10.10. Hard Day´s Night Part 2. Kuopion Jäähalli, Kuopio

The Visions-tour back in -98 was the first time I saw the band live, and I still remember the beginning of the show.
After everything was set up on stage the whole place went dark and they stopped the music from tape.
They made us wait for what feeled like forever (maybe 10-15 seconds?), and then the intro of Black Diamond started. They kept lights out till the rest of the band joined in, and then it all just exploded to a great show.

Memories that will always make you smile when thinking back

Will you attend the Turku show, or also another one?
I'm curious if they'll play something else besides the album, one hour would be a bit short for a whole show - but on the other hand it would be hard to find the right songs to surround such an album..?
I love to think back to my first show, too

Was a task to get there because of all the snow, not that many people so I got second row, and then there were five guys with such a huge stage presence, the small audience was singing along and having a great time, they played songs I didn't expect them to play, that all literally blew my mind

And seeing Timo w/ Warmen and Lauri at the FME again some time later changed my life

I don't know yet if I'll attend only the Turku show on that tour, but I know I'll see them in KarjuRock (
www.karjurock.fi) next month. The mainevent of the festival is Helloween

Not a Strato-show, but Timo Kotipelto is performing with Conscript Band of the Finnish Defense Forces on Brothers in Arms-Rock Tour in late August. This band has nearly 70 player including strings and wind instruments.
They will perform all kind of rock classics and naturally some Strato classics too. I can only imagine what Black Diamond will sound like with that kind of band

I stil wonder if they're gonna play something else besides the album, and what that could be. Would be interesting to see for example what would come out of a setlist poll, similar to what Sonata Arctica did a few months ago... Would everyone treat them with Elysium, or is that more of a forums' favourite?

somehow I'm not surprised

And who would've thought I'd prefer some newer songs, Elysium and Old Man And The Sea in special... BIG surprise over here as well
Edit: That would be one hell of a night for you, first time in Finland, Visions album AND Run Away - no heart attacks please, my first aid-class was already 13 years ago

I'd love an Elysium.
Let's get a '97 time travel with TK's 97 voice, and make him do Find Your Own Voice, Learning to Fly, and Papillon in French

I'm really looking forward to listening to Forever Free after all these years. If there was an album I'd like to listen start to finish though, it'd probably be Infinite from the Tolkki era, but probably even more, Elysium.

But not so performance, why are played in other note
Kotipelto have troubles in his voice.
not so performance, and yes a huge ball of marketing.
But anyone don't notice this, the fans support whatever stuff from his idols, included, "Skilled musical critic"

Now you are babbeling again. What it is you want to say? "Not so performance?""Kotipelto has troubles?" So you were there and heard that it wasn't "so performance." IDIOT! Can't you be quiet and make everyone happy? What is wrong with you? Diagnose?
