Freelance Christian. I believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, He came down and died for our sins, and that He rose after He had been crucified. I believe that He taught the ways of life we should all try to follow, and that His is the way of Light and Truth.

Then the church came along and warped, twisted, and raped His words to their own advantage. That is why I refuse to align myself to a church, and am against the organised aspect of religion.

I believe in Jesus Christ, God the Father and the Holy Spirit. I don't need any belief more specific than that.

I would be very interested to hear an elaboration on that theory.

I wouldn't describe myself as anti-christian, anti-muslim, anti-buddhist, anti-satanist or anything like that. I'm just pretty much anti-religion. No, not atheist, for atheism is a religion in it's own right: an atheist -believes- that there is no god.

I try to find my own "truth" by living life the best I can, experiencing new things and getting to know new people. Not from prayer, not from any holy book or other man-made fantasy riffraff, not from any priest's/monk's/ajatollah's/shaman's/rabbi's/other holy and/or sacred person's ramblings. I clench to my right to deny all the so-called higher powers, good and evil spirits, angels, demons, little green men, gnomes, elves, santa clauses and easter bunnies - that is, until someone shows me proof of their existence.

I think I'd call myself as a random, occasional believer in self, and nothing more.

I'd assume not if you can't spell Buddhist right ;)

I think it's too early for me to make decisions about my beliefs.

I believe that Jesus was a gender confused hooker with a nack for public speaking! :)

I only put trust things I can know are real.
How can we KNOW we're not controlled by evil scientists, who removed your brain from your body while you slept, and set it up in a life-support system in a vat? Suppose they then set out to trick you into believing that you were not just a brain in a vat, but still up and about, engaging in normal real world activities?' ;)

Long winded explaination. Even though I don't give a poopie about jesus, I know waaayy to much about him.
Back in the DAY "chuch" used to be a bunch of friends getting togeather to talk about, and strenghten eachother's belief's in christ. Church was a small community of closely knit people (usually about 15-30 people) who loved and cared about eachother, helped eachother understand the lessons of christ etc. Sort of like a modern day "small group" or "bible study". They were persecuted and killed for what they believed in, to them, Jesus was more than just a golden ticket to heaven. Being a christian wasn't just a belief... it was a way of life.
In today's society chuch is a bunch of people gathering in a buliding once a week to hear one guy talk for 1-2 hours about the same thing over and over again, and once they leave the building they usually for get 99% of the preacher said. They go to church because their parent's went to chuch, and their parent's parents, and their parent's parent's parents. And then there's GIVING money to the chuch, where they pull this whole "biblical obligation". God doensn't mean you HAVE to give him 10% of your money in the bible it means "give 10% of something that's valuable to you"... Like 10% of your TIME.... you can get all the money in the world, but there's a limited supply of time, so which do you think would be more important to God?
People THINK that if they go to church once a week... then they automatically have this ticket to heaven, or if they get baptized they're saved or something. But being a christian is all about the relationship you can have with god because jesus died. And saying "chuch is my ticket to heaven" is like me going to work and just standing there, then expecting to get promoted!
And that's just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to christians and the church. IT's not so much the WORDS in the bible are changed, because there's like two million and a half ways to prove that they weren't. It's just the way CHRISTIANS have changed, from then to now. Which, is why nonchristians should take a look at GOD before they write off christianity, instead of looking at how people act, because people will always disappoint.

And here's the twist ending!!! I don't really care about any of this at all! Mwahahahahahahahaha

Ok, this is one of many examples, but did you know that the Catholic Church under the Spanish Inquisition didn't allow anyone to own a bible? so they could say what they wanted to and not be disputed?

So where is God then? And what makes you think God is a christian?

All of that was typed to christians, about the christian perspective of God. If there IS a god, that doesn't necissarly mean that he's the same guy the christians believe in, but like i said, i don't care either way.

To me, it makes the most sense.

Many people don't share that. Im ok with that, anyone has the freedom to believe what they want to.

This is what I believe.

Not every church is the same though...most churches have different beliefs, views etc, that's just the way the society has fallen apart, there are still some who live as you said in the first part of your explanation. I mean i go to church not just to hear 'a man' speak and then forget it, i go to worship God and hear what God has to say. I don't give offering money because i have to i give it because i want to, i know it will help in God's work.
Ok, this is one of many examples, but did you know that the Catholic Church under the Spanish Inquisition didn't allow anyone to own a bible? so they could say what they wanted to and not be disputed?
And this example? Well the Catholic church is very very different compared to many other churches including the one i attaned.

Not having a go or anything :)

Most churches have done enough bad things (i.e. get money all for themselves, betray the trust of the people, etc. etc.) to make me not want to have anything to do with them.

Well its not like any church would hang a sign outside the door that says "We do bad things!! We use your offering money for prostitues, liquor and child porn!"

There's just no way you can tell!!!
