Timo's voice is really awesome. Imho, it's a bit similar to Labrie's, but better.
The guitar solo is cool too.
And I don't care too much about that anorexic girl. Though her face looks good, she's not that big deal.
The video is a bit dark, I couldn't see too much from the band, but no problem. I will see them in Wacken, in Wien and in Budapest this year. hehehee

The song itself reminds me of Metallica, minus the keys. If the rest of the album sounds ANYTHING like this, it's also gonna be the best album they have done!

I like it but I need to hear it many times before I really know
but in some way I miss the old Strato sound with the speed and the doubble bass

the video is nothing special in my eyes. can't see very much because it's very dark. ok just ja video just marketing who cares.
but my first impression of the music is very good. very different from the past but still stratovarius. I like it.

@beastpete do you know that strato is the surprise act ? or do you guess ?
ok the hint members from diffrent country fits esp guitar fits too and it would be a good promotion for the new album.

@empi: I'm 99% sure. The WOA organizers made a mistake, and they put Stratovarius' name on a poster... and later they admitted, that it was because they are the surprise act. But noone can be 100% sure, you know.

Great video! They managed to make a very crazy and lunatic feeling with that one. And the song matches up with the video very well.

Maniac Dance&Reasons are similar in that they are songs written from the heart which express both of these men's turmoil and feelings during this dark period of Strato's history.

those lyrics are really heartwretching/touching. The song/music is terrific. I won't be able to watch the video until tonight, though.

This is the Strato forum, so I know it is not the best place "not to be excited and hyper" about the video , but being objective, I don't see anything special about it. There's one thing that really annoys me, not only about this video but also about other videoclips and live recordings: the camera changes every 0.5 seconds. Producers must think that it is fun, modern and accelerating, but to me it is just plain annoying. A good example of a movie with fast camera switches is Moulin Rouge. There are two things I don't really like about those switches: first, it all happens so fast, I can't see anything; second, after a while it gives me a headache.
I have to say that Maniac Dance is one of my least favourite Strato videos . But hey, this is just one insignificant opinion

If they stopped zooming in on that stupid belemic girl and actually let us see clear shots of the band rather than distorting everything to get this pathetic "Maniac" illusion, maybe it would have been a better video.

The closest I actually got to seeing the band clearly was Tolkki's freaking guitar neck, very brief flash of Tolkki's face, very brief flash of Jorg and Jens, I don't even remember Kainulainen. And then one of two seconds of seeing the whole band in one shot, but it was so dark and black&white I couldn't make anything out anyway.

Freaking girl ruined it.

There was actually lots of Kainulainen in the video, like anticipating that he is leaving the band short after...

Mmmhmm. I second that. The same happens with the whole of Iron Maiden's Rock in Rio concert.

I don't like the flashing either, but this creates a good dark & confusing atmosphere, which fits the song perfectly. So, I don't have anything against it. But I hope, that in the next clip, I can see more from the bandmembers.

I guess I'm gonna have to wait a bit longer till I buy the single then...
