I´d like to know that too...I was just thinking that it´s because TK doesn´t give a little rest to his voice...As far as I know, in last year/year and a half, he´s recored two albums - which takes a lot of practise, participated in that singing tv thing, done world tour etc. I think now his voice is beyond what it´s able to sustain and endure...Hey maaaan, the voice needs to take a rest for a while!!!

I think that is the reason why his voice is the way it is now.

If it's true I will have the time of my life in January. The 9th of January is the third show after 2 months of rest. It should be better then.

Well, I'll see Strato on 15 January in Madrid. Let's hope to see an amazing show.

One can find videos in any year where he does not sing well. He has been whelping some of those notes for a while now. Every year that I watch videos from has times where he is good and times when he is not. It is also from a song to song basis in the videos where in some songs he will get it and some he won’t,

I think depends of the video.....

I personally have found nothing wrong with his voice in those video's but then again I'm usually not too picky when it comes to singing, just as long as they aren't Grunting or shrieking

When you getting old I think that you have more skills and technique about how to sing better than only stay sing high notes everytime..... Take a look at Dickinson....He is like wine.... As long as he gets old his voice is getting better for the songs...

If we talk here about high notes, it is because the main difference we had with TK's voice were the high notes, and almost all the Stratovarius discography is about high notes.

So, if you listen now, songs like Father time (for example) without hight notes...well I see it weird and maybe you all will love the Strato classics without high notes but I don't like it. Tk's voice was always special thanks to his texture and his capability to reach impossible ranges.

This is exactly what I think too & for who don't likes to hear Kotipelto singing live anymore just stay in home & go to listen to Stratovarius studio albuns!

It's not only the high notes that made Tk the singer he is... It matters the way he sing cause in musics like Forever, we heard a guy that was born to sing... That's it... Kotipelto was born to sing... It's a God's gift...

A good singer is a good singer, regardless of how high or low he sings

I think a singer is good for the range the singer can consistently perform. for me song's don't need to be true to the recording and it does not really matter what octave or key they are sung in, just that whatever is chosen is well performed.

True. And that's not the case with TK. Some of the material they chose for this tour isn't well performed. It's just too high for him.

That's why I hope they will choose wiser for the 2010 European Tour. I love TK's middle range voice so I hope they will play lots of middle ranged songs like Eagleheart, Blind, and I hope they will play some songs wich they never or rarely payed live. That would be awesome.

No, Tk can sing the high notes............But nowadays he doens't abuse of this notes...It's simple....

they should just write a album with one nice and easy midrange note for him to sing. that should be safe enough for people.

Polaris is just great album. Kotipeltos singing havent so high notes that on other albunms

Yes it's true that he can sing the high notes. But not as powerfull as he did a few years ago. The high notes sound very weak now. I hope that for the next tour they will play less high songs. And for the next album they should write more songs with the vocals like Eagleheart or Blind. In that range TK sounds awesome!

Not yet, since he still can sing damn high. I't be great to get that midrange stuff, say, after 15 years or so, since he, most likely, can't sing that high anymore. Cool if he can though. He's always been an awesome singer, see, and he still is.

Nowadays Tk didn't abuse of high notes and a good exemple is Polaris! But it's a good album too.. but in my opinion the best album it's vision

Yeah............ Visions is a wonderfull album... There are no bad musics in this album....

I prefer Destiny & Fourth Dimension than Visions, in my opinions Visions is good, but also is a commercial album!
I'm a little tired from that album, maybe because when I bought used to listen everyday!

It's only a bad time.

There's a video on youtube from August/09 which TK sang "Visions" very well!

I saw them in Sao Paulo/Brasil and TK really don't able sang high notes.

But is just a bad time.

He has done better but after a bit of rest he should be fine for he has been singing early this year better than in years.
