There were like 50 new spam registrations overnight, it was not sustainable so i am trying with recaptcha 3 now.
You people whop know how the board works... are media embeds broken? Is anyone useing "userpix" any more in 2006?

I was able to update my avatar no issue. And posted an image embed no issue in other discussions. Other than that, I am not advanced. Zenith is, though. I see Salmon did a comprehensive test. Very good results! I remember, about 5 years ago, it wasn't even possible to post a message without altering some malformed HTML with the browser developer tools (see here). Everything seems to be in working order now.

One major difference between 5 years ago and today is the massive surge of website scrapers for training LLMs and other generative AI. Seems like nearly the entire internet has locked itself down with anti-DDoS services like Cloudflare in order to prevent these scrapers from either bogging down the servers or simply for ideological reasons.
So, with that said, if you notice a lot of unwanted traffic here, it might be worth it to implement such a service here.

what the FUUUUCK :shock: , my childhood dreams have now flown back into my body. They've been floating in spaace since that fateful day when the submit button's value property stopped working even with console tinkering. Now it's all back, vitality, nature-force, living-drive, phallic-destiny.

Yeah, when you look at the "active users" it's like 30-40 bots scraping simultaneously. I'm not sure how to discourage or disallow this technically.
