I loved Shine in The Dark and Lost Without a Trace and I am not convinced about Lost Saga.

Sure it has a good intro (when the song started was like "oh god, I will be fuckingmindblowed") and some superb rhythm guitars (for me, Stratovarius lacks of rhythm guitars live)and the soloing is mindblowing ...

In my opinion a very complete song: starts with a midtempo that runs slowly to a the chorus (which I like a lot). When it seems that everything is calm Kupiainen strikes with a good ( superb?) solo. The outro is kjbddbkdbk fantastic! I like a lot those dark and powerful guitars!!

In the end, it's a really good album. I really did not expect that result, though being realistic it's still out of the excellence those finns always are expected to be.

The only BIG downside of this album perhaps (of course, it's my opinion) is about the big differences in styles into only one CD ...

I don't know why but while hearing the samples I'd got the feeling that it's a 3-4 "good tracks" album. Kakko still has the feeling to write brilliant slow/ballad and midtempo songs but the fast ones are 'mediocre' (if you want, not as good as the others) and lower the level of the whole album a lot ...

Anyway, this band is young (3x's everyone in the band) and Tony Kakko had experimented with them new musical routes and in the end they've returned to kinda "power metal" style (let's see the whole album...).

Today at 2:00 am (EDIT: Could be 2:15 am) GMT-Madrid Stratovarius will be broadcasted at TVE2 here in Spain. I remember you if someone could be awake in order to watch it.

Of course! Here in Spain the crowd is growing a lot! There's a lot of effort from the band there, so it's normal that old and new fans support the band! If that's just the beginning so I am really curious to know the next step they'll follow... :) :) :) :)

And that's just the beginning. In Barcelona they played a great show too, and the crowd was very warm with the band, always singing (including the new songs - Unbreakable the loudest-) and that's why the show went to the fucking olympus!

I still regret that they chose Amaranthe as "co-headliner ...

I really like the setlist, in the end 7 of 13 songs are from the new era (6 of them from Nemesis :roll: ).

I miss a lot the serenity of Winter Skies and the raw of The Kiss Of Judas. Definetely Speed of Light + The Kiss Of Judas was a winning formula but that's OK if they change setlists on the ...

Definetely Dreamspace is an album that demands 3 or 4 deep listenings.

When I listened for the first time Stratovarius it was for their melodies and lyrics, I always refused to say Stratovarius is just Power Metal because, In my opinion, the trademark of Stratovarius are their good melodies ...

About the intro... The Jörg Farewell Tour one was magical, It was impressive! This one is good but, hell the last one was extracts of songs of every album mixed perfectly!

Cam for Rolf Pilve on Abandon! This is a Pilve clip but you can hear Abandon sounding too.

This guy is a beast, anyway of course Timo is vocally tired at the end of the show! He does the lead vocals, the backing vocals, all the stuff in abandon!

Castles In The Air, first for the music, then I realised the lyrics. Stratovarius is different (this does not mean better or worse) than other Power Metal kings like Helloween or Gamma Ray. They are fire, but Stratovarius touches souls... And this song has touched my heart and mind.

Definetely Castles In The Air! Other options closer to that one could be Nemesis or Halcyon Days but in fact the whole album is great and very balanced and straight-forward!
