You really sound buddhist Your comments are very related to buddhism.Beast_Pete wrote:I don't have belong to any Church, but I'm not an atheist either. I don't say God exists, nor that he/she doesn't. I don't find any sense in fighting between the two theories, as both are impossible to prove.

Do I? Well, most of the eastern martialarts are based on buddhism, maybe that's why I'm thinking like one of them, as I'm doing karate-do myself.

What do you think about Scientologists? I saw the new South Park episode last week, and it's funny, because in the newspaper they wrote about the Hungarian Scientologists too.
I don't say my opinion yet, I have already made up my mind about it (knowing some scientologists too... I didn't know, that they actually believed in this, but knew, that they were part of some kind of sect).

Are Scientologists those people that do not believe in Doctors or transfusions? OH, thats Christian Scientists! OK--I don't think they are the same. Also, Scientology is a "movie-star" religion.
Just think, in ancient times folks had to learn about many Gods that they worshipped--I guess it was confusing at first!

Yeah, and this is the main reason I say, it's a sect. I mean, it was written bya a sci-fi writer. So now we have to believe in The Lord of the Rings, or Star Wars? wtfbrowneyedgirl wrote:Also, Scientology is a "movie-star" religion.

Are you sure you know what you're talking about?Paschendale wrote: And here is a thought.....What actually started the wars? Do you know any of the history? Was it all in the name of Christianity in order to convert? I think not....there was actually "reasons". And no conversions were even attempted in the Crusades against Islam. I believe the motives were all about keeping ones own territory, AND free trade without getting raided on the way.
From wikipedia: "The Crusades were a series of several military campaigns—usually sanctioned by the Papacy—that took place during the 11th through 13th centuries. Originally, they were Roman Catholic endeavors to recapture the Holy Land from the Muslims, but some were directed against other Europeans, such as the Fourth Crusade against Constantinople, the Albigensian Crusade against the Cathars of southern France and the Northern Crusades."
There were no real attempts at converting the locals to christianity because they were being simply slaughtered where they stood. And all the killing was supported by the Church.

Hitler was national socialists. It was Mussolini, who was fascist. But what does it matter? The fact is, that these three men made such a horrible nightmare for millions of people, that it cannot be forgiven.shaz wrote:Hitler wasn't a socialist, he was a fascist.. same goes for Mussolini.
