I heard that when they were figuring out a band name, the lead guy was sitting on the bed&2 porno mags were lying there. One was titled "FILTHY", the other, "ASSES". So, he put the two words together&the rest is history!
Actually, the name, IMO, is very creative! But, I don't think the guys were asses---actually they were very smart!
