The story behind this Stratovarius cover goes back to a backup I had on my PC. This video went through several versions, each one more ridiculous than the last. First, I had Stratovarius' 1989 version played at full speed. The second version was an edited Auguste and Louis Lumière film, which was even worse than the previous ones. Then, more recently, I started reviewing and thinking about the song's lyrics and it occurred to me to make a video about the sexual deviance of sadomasochism (sexual arousal through humiliation and pain). And so I did, playing with the boundary between art and "socially accepted" morality—a somewhat questionable matter if you have an open mind and take a closer look at "Great Human Society."
At first, I used a Finnish film called "Dogs Don't Wear Pants," but the Finnish producers couldn't tolerate the use of just one scene from the film combined with the... Power Metal, and it took them a day to tell me I was BANNED IN ALL OF SCANDINAVIA. Of course, I was only banned in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland. The Nordics are a bit strange, aren't they? Making a fuss over just five countries when I could do whatever I want in the rest of the world. It seems the film is only acclaimed in their countries, because it's not exactly an elite film. It's pretty bad, with humor that wouldn't make even a monkey on ecstasy laugh. Let's be honest, watching a guy traumatized because his wife committed suicide in a lake, with a daughter who lost her mother, and then, because of his trauma, letting himself be beaten to a pulp by a crazy woman who induces him into sexual masochism—it's not funny at all. The film is quite sick.
But anyway, the Finns came out to "Rescue Their Work" a day late when they realized my video was about a human sexual perversion.

Since I am not Very friendly regarding the producers' "false morality," I had no choice but to look on pornography sites. It's extremely edited and censored to make it "tolerable," but it still gives you an idea of what the video is about.
Everything you see in the video is real; it's not a movie, it's not some dark comedy fantasy. You know I'm a realist; I don't like living in a constant fantasy world.
I hope you enjoy it, so you can see a little bit of what the human mind can achieve...
