Anyway, I just noticed the other day that in the matches, vuvuzuela sounds are recorded just to play from the speakers¿?! When we hear that big amount of vuvuzuelas in a complete order, is because the sound is recorded. This africans are really mad with the vuvuzuelas.

lol, I like a lot Maradona, for me is the best player in history. I know sometimes he lose his head, but I laugh a lot.
 I only agree with you that he WAS the best football player in the world, but right know he can suck my dick :D!
And about the predictions of the Argentina 6 - 0 Germany, I only have to say WTF?! Come on people, I know the team has been playing really well, but I personally don't see Argentina winning to Germany: I know they aren't the same without Ballack, but let's be reasonable. Hopefully I really wish they at least win for just 1 or 2 goals, but I think we'll have the same curse we had back at 2006 :?

And Raziel, don't feel bad about southamericans hating Spain; many don't think the same...Of course, I'm the exception and I want them to LOSE :D!

The quarters are looking awesome. All potentially exciting matches!

Brazil - Netherlands: Brazil is always the favourite but they'll have to watch it, Robben and co. are in top form.

Ghana - Uruguay: I think these teams are about level... Uruguay has the star power of the attacking duo Forlan and Suarez, Ghana has what is essentially the home advantage.

Spain - Paraguay: Spain are obviously seen as the stronger team but you never know what can happen

Germany - Argentina: too close to call. I think Argentina have the edge over the very young German team, but this match is basically impossible to predict.

I always support Spain and Germany in major competitions (and Greece but yeah nevermind...) so obviously I'm hoping for those teams to do well but I'd be fascinated by a Paraguay - Argentina match as well.

I'm not feeling bad about it, on the contrary...this comments in the forum helped me a lot and now I'm sure about my theory and my thoughts regarding that theme. That helps a lot while seeing around in my country and having a conversation with south america people.

NEON! NO! Spain is not favourite, NEVER. The match is 50/50.

Argentina is favourite against Germany. They have the best player in the world: Messi, and another top of the tops players like Agüero or Higuaín.

And God listens to the octopus.

Paul deliberated over the match for more than an hour. He swam instantly to the German box, perhaps initially swayed by Germany’s 4-1 victory over England on Sunday. But then struck by indecision, Paul pulled back and laboriously mulled over the prospects of Argentina’s creativity and star power versus Germany’s devastating counterattack and speed.

Finally, Paul wrapped his eight legs around the German box, plucked out the mussel and threw his weight behind the Mannschaft.

And what about the Jabulani? that ball sux. Why they don't return to the typical designs? From 2002 (I think¿?) the balls are like if they were made to play volleyball. Horrible.

Both have identical food in it, the octopus has chosen the right box every time (chose the Serbian one before the Germany-Serbia match).

Like always. I see everyday all the sport programs and try to read everything about the daily news in the WC thing.
Thinking about the matches, about the possibilities, etc, etc...

Anyway, it's a shit when the WC finishes, I'd like to live eternally in summer and with the WC atmosphere.

Thanks God you are in summer. Here's still winter and those cold days when the WC had just begun were terrible :?. But yeah, the WC should be at least 6 months long :D!

Oh come on... Since now I just didn't said anything about this subject... But I see that people have to know more about futebol... Maradona was a very good player... But come on, we don't have to compare him to Pele... Even with another brazilian players... You know why? Because Brazil has had players like this: The Genius legendary brazilian player Mane Garrincha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Od6KVVCS ... re=related 2 times world champion ( 1958-1962)... It's a fact, Garrincha played more than Maradona but this one receives the massive glory because his era Tv are more common and tecnology higher than Garrincha's ages... See the video... I never saw Maradona make 1/1000 of what Garrincha's made... And Pele... Pele is Pele...

And you think you know more about football just because you are brazilian or because you think that Pele is better based in videos from the 60 or 70's?

You can have your opinion and I can have mine, and that doesn't mean you know more about football.
For me Maradona was better mainly because he played in an era where football started to become more agressive. In Pele videos you can see Pele, doing things with the ball like if he was training with friends and the opponent just watching. Physicaly the players were not the same, com on, many people around Garrincha in the video seems just stupid.Later, the football was different, and the most probably is that Pele could have never done that fantastic things because you could see the opponent trying to erase his legs from the field. For me, even Ronaldo or Romario (for me Romario is the best football player from Brazil in the history) were better than Pelé. But, of course I understand your devotion cause he was almost the only one in that era capable to do things like that. Cmon, even Messi is doing things nowadays in FC Barcelona that you could say: this man is gonna be the best in the history.

A true Amarelao... Maradona is trying to make Argentina show to people a spetacular team which this weak ones is not... We will see... Mesut Özil is gonna destroy them... I can barely bet that you start to know who is Garrincha whith this video... You even heard his name in your entire life so I am doing you a favor... And in the same way as he, there are several other players here that should be recognize cause of their beautiful game... Maybe if I have time I can show you...

GuiHunter, this is a ridiculous conversation between Maradona-Pelé and how Brasil is as a country or in football... I'm gonna stop cause    . You make assumptions and assertions about me without knowing me. It's ridiculous and shows how arrogant you are (just you know why). If you want to think that you live football more than anyone just because you are brazilian and because your country is magic and you have seen things in football regarding your country than anyone dream to see...ok...be happy with your dream. If you want to say that i don't know who Garrincha (4 example) is, ok. Be happy in your magic country showing the world how to play, or better, tell to your magic stars that stay in your magic country to play it just for you, cause we don't understand it

About THIS WC... Messi in the WC, of course he is not playing well, that's true. And I'm not saying that Argentina is gonna win against Germany, I'm saying that I think they are favourites. Germany is better as a team, but Argetina IMO have a lot of better individualities that maybe will decide the match.

That is ridiculous. Football is not a Brazilian sport, it is not a German sport, it is not a Spanish sport or even an English sport (even though they invented it). It is a global sport and it represents the cultures and identities of so many countries and people around the world that claiming that purely by being from Brazil it instantly means more to you and you automatically know more about it than anyone else is just stupid.

It's important to people everywhere, as a form of culture and identity.
You even know how futebol is organize in our country... I talk about the championships, teams and the players revelations... I have saw ,like my friends in this country, things that anyone in the other country dream to see
Really?

For you to say something like that means that you watch the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga every week right? And you know what's going on in other countries such as France, Greece, Netherlands and Russia as well, true?

I don't follow the Brazilian league very closely, so I'm not going to pretend that I know much about it but for you to say something so categorical is just facetious.

It's like saying 'Swedish death metal is better than Florida death metal' completely overlooking the socio-economic and geopolitical factors influencing both types of death metal.

One could say 'Florida death metal sells more records' like the same way Brazil have won more world cups. Is Brazil the most successful WC nation? Yes. Is Brazilian football the best in the world? No, because that question does not have an answer. Italy have won 4 WCs so far but their league is far more boring to watch than the English Premier League and England have won 1 WC, 44 years ago and were a total disaster this time, as were Italy. One thing is therefore not necessarily linked to the other.

Personally, I find the Greek First Division to be the most exciting, but that's my own opinion. I won't go around claiming it is the 'best' league and that anyone from outside there wouldn't dream of seeing things like that.
I think Maradona is less than what Romario was and you know what I am talking about because what "baixinho" did in Barcelona was just awesome...People said that he played even more than Ronaldo... Maybe in the WC 2014 the TV can show to you the wonderful and magic that futebol is to us... And Messi? He has not won a WC and in this WC he is not doing anything that show to me he is better
Does it upset you that the player regarded as the best in the world is not Brazilian? And does it upset you that Maradona is Argentinian but is widely regarded as the best player ever? You know, there are good players in other countries as well. I think Messi has been incredible in the world cup so far. He plays a different role to the one he plays in Barca, but he's been so effective in supporting Higuain and Tevez. He hasn't scored 15 goals, but he's been really great.

People were saying the same thing as Ronaldinho last time around. But of course, he's Brazilian, so he's obviously better than anyone from another country right?
A true Amarelao... Maradona is trying to make Argentina show to people a spetacular team which this weak ones is not... We will see... Mesut Özil is gonna destroy them
Weak? How is the Argentinian team weak? They've beaten every other team they've encountered pretty easily. They have a perfect record of 4 victories so far in the WC, Brazil only have 3 and 1 draw. So, on paper (which means nothing as we all know), they've actually been stronger than Brazil if you want to look at it like that...

Germany has been excellent but I think their youth could be their undoing. It will be a close match I think.
If he and his germany team won't do this, you can let for Brazil that we will...
How do you know this?

Do you just think that 'we are Brazil, we are the best team, therefore we will win' and simply cannot contemplate anything else?

ANY team can be defeated, ANY team can win, and the result is NEVER certain. That's the beautiful thing about football. The best team on paper might only be the second best in the match. Remember 1998? Remember 2004?

Look, I'm not doubting Brazil's abilities as a team. I think they play wonderfully and I've always loved Brazilian football. I think Dunga is the best coach they've had since '94 and I really do expect them to make it all the way to the final, and probably win it. Again, you can never be sure of anything but it's a balance of probabilities.

But if what you're saying is a general indicator of the attitude of the Brazilian public, then I fully understand why Dunga hates the media there so much.
