Just a little personal thing : I am really glad because I had a really nice time with 3 members of the band, and I really love them. No matter if Stratovarius will stop playing or not, no matter if Kotipelto and Tolkki are ennemies, I will always respect these guys, for what they did to me since the really beginning, til the end... end of personal comment, you guys will make me cry

As nice as that would be, we'll have to wait from a statement from one of these five guys... Er, not that the Kotipelto-forum is a bad place (very polite and funny!), but in general I hesitate to accept 100% any information I find on the internet...browneyedgirl wrote:

Yet, other people have said the 2 Timos were blantantly ignoring each other. But, they did not talk to Tolkki personally, so obviously they did not know the potentially good news. UNLESS, Tolkki was just trying to make things seem better than what they are to boost the fan's morale.
Which, is why I hope he releases a statement very soon!![]()
BTW, BrownEyedGirl, are you on the Koti forum? I don't think I've really seen you there...

I still think something has to change. I mean yes you guys have seen them live and there wasn't any... I don't know. what are you expecting? Guys who had some serious problems with eachother are NOT going to all of a sudden start hugging on stage. Besides, I wouldn't want that anyway. It'd be fake and silly. But TT promised to try his best to get the band together, and I say that's exactly what he is working on. Also, TT stayed to the side of everyone. So what? it could have been feedback or a million other reasons we cannot really know.. Yet, true, it could have been that he felt isolated. From his statement on this very website, I'd say he is sorry it isn't working out. What he has said takes a lot to say. Especially considering TT is somebody who has a very strong personality. He might be staying off to the side because he doesn't really know how to fix things. and TK was performing. Why would he have to glance back at TT? maybe he did once or twice. I mean the man was singing, it's not like he can stand there and stare all night!
I think if you all wanted to have the guys together (and I know you do!
) you should support them as artists and allow for some imperfections. they are just people.
They don't always have the right words or the right decisions, but we all love them anyway. I sincerely wish that they will stay together. There is so much they have not gotten to do yet. So much great songs they have yet to write. and they REALLY need to come play for us here in New York City!
I just wish them to be brave and reconcile and talk everything over calmly. It would break too many hearts to have so much beautiful music just ended.

Re: FESTIVAL REPORTS/REVIEWS
Beautiful post, Nightlady, I agree with all you say! These StratoProblems did not arise overnight&likewise, its going to take longer than a day to fix them! Patience&understanding is the key. TT proved how strong he was by admitting he was wrong, and by doing that, its an important first step--like when a person admits to being an alcoholic, and needs to change. So, we have to give this band time to heal if they do plan to continue.

Hi there,
I'm back from the show.
it was FUCKIN' AMAZING !!!!
I'm sorry, i'm way too tired to write a lot right now (i slept only 3 hours the past few nights), but all I can say is that the show was brilliant, Timo Tolkki is doing fine (eventhough he looks a bit tired because of the medecines) and for all the people who thinks that the band is dead, i can tell you : it's NOT true... There are still hope. This is not a rumour or supposition, it's an official info.
So fans, just keep the faith !!!
And I can tell one more thing :
Jens and Timo Kotipelto are both really great persons. And Timo Tolkki is really far from being what you have read everywhere. He is a REALLY sweet and nice person, with just some pbms to solve. I'm sure that the most part of pp who criticizes him had never met him (and probably never been to a Stratoshow), they just read the newspapers and believe rumours...
I know the guy personally for many years now, so if you think he is a bad person, you are wrong. really...
(aaaah, I still can't believe that Kotipelto pronounced my name during the show !!!!)
I'm back too (sorry i post a bit later...), and i share the same feeling like you Cliff!

Thanks for all, and Thanks to Stratovarius guys for their great professionalism and their great kindness too!
Awesome!
Fans, keep hope and faith!
Rock on

Can anyone post the setlist for the French shows? Was it a lot different from the one at Tavastia? Probably not.
You know where you are? You're in the jungle, baby. You're gonna DIE!
Re: Re: FESTIVAL REPORTS/REVIEWS
And i wish that Timo Tolkki would be in a better health (he looked really tired, because of the medecines). But i was still really glad that he was there, playing, and STILL ALIVE !

Re: FESTIVAL REPORTS/REVIEWS
Great Setlist!
Now, I hope someone gives a report for the German Shows!
Yes, these shows have been so close together--it is understandable TT is exhausted. I hope he just takes it as easy as possible so he can gain a full recovery. And, yes, tiredness is a side effect of some medicines, unfortunately.

Well all in all I also have to say that it ROCKED DA WORLD !!! No honestly, it was really cool and I am so glad that I took the oportunity to drive to the "Rock-Hard Festival" to see them perform for the last time here in Germany, even though all the other bands were not that interessting to me.
Just let me mention that I was positivly surprised by the German band Rage, so check it out one time if you like! Their drummer performed a hell of an amazing drumsolo !!! But back to Stratovarius. I don´t remember the entire setlist but on it were: Father Time, Reign of Terror, Speed of Light, Black Diamond, Forever, Hunting High and Low, Phoenix and plenty more but since I am not certain what they were I leave them out. They played about 80 minutes and the crowd was really suporting and had a fucking lot of fun !
Since I have never been to see Strato before I have no frame of reference and so can´t really tell how the behaviour onstage is to be analysed but as said before Jari was kind of... dunno... halfhearted. And Tolkki seemed quite OK and I believe he enjoyed the crowd and the obvious admiration that he and the band recieved ! Jörg was certainly the most happy guy onstage... He is what I in German would describe as a "Grinsekeks" what means nothing else but he is smiling all the time... Just sitting on his drums, playing the double base and smiling... all the time. Jens seemd slightly of from time to time and other than that he was just Jens, waving his hair over the piano and giving us strange looks every once in a while ! Now Kotipelto... I am not sure what to think of him since yesterday... He sang amazingly, as always, but I am not so sure about his attitude ! He played with the crowd, the usual "We were in France last week and I believe that they were louder as you guys, or?" and so on and so forth but all in all, he did not make the most sympathetic impression. He was barely smiling and, well this maa just be me, but I had the feeling he looked at us fans with a slight contempt from time to time, though I cannot understand why he would do that. But as I mentioned before, since this was my first (and probably last) Stratovarius concert I have no frame of reference and that may just be the way he performs on stage... So that wasa rather personal review and I don´t know if I got all the impressions right.
Still I enjoyed the show and the music and I would give my life if this band would continue creating this wonderfull music and brighten my day !!!

Re: FESTIVAL REPORTS/REVIEWS
The gig at the RockHard festival was indeed great, and I was very very relieved to see that every band member at least seemed to be sober and that Timo Tolkki was drinking water instead of vodka. :spin2: Before the gig I was very worried that he could get drunk during the show, but fortunately I was wrong.
I couldn't see any clue about the recent problems in the band at all.
Unfortunately, nobody wanted to join me shouting "Tolkki!", so I guess he didn't notice.
I wanted to support him a bit, because Kotipelto got most of the applause (quite natural since he's the singer...
).
Well, I haven't been at the signing session (because the queue was way too long and I way too lazy...
), so I haven't even talked to them, but this gig gave me some hope that perhaps it's not yet too late for Stratovarius... Just a feeling, I don't know...
