Jens hate horrible leads...so..

Here musicians can talk to each other about making music etc. Of course if you are not a musician you are still welcomed to this board, but the topics should somehow be about making music.

YOU ARE RIGHT...

So please teach us how to make a good Lead in general...

First of all: buy good stuff (Korg!!) then, try to make a warm sound (the one that Jens uses in Malmsteen's ODYSSEY, especially in the songs KRAKATAU, makes up my skin soooo much!!)...

eeehhhmm, it's better if Jens tells you how, I have no idea! :)

Oh well...

I have Korg, and a good Lead Sound...pretty near Jens's lead sound but... i want to improve it.

I try to surpass my limit but it's difficult.

So if Jens would be kind to explain some basics...to restart from 0...

Jens uses DX7's for triggering and most if not all of his sounds are designed by him. Jens isn't really a "play the sounds the factory gives ya" kinda guy. ;)

I know of a man who took a nice Jensish Lead on his Korg Karma and i know that it irreproducible on a Kurzweil..by the way Jens is still using his bunch of Polysix in studio sessions, instead of live where he uses the jvs..

Hey guys!Fresh meat here.....Nice to meet you all...So for my first post,I will pose a question:Is it possible to reproduce the synth from "Krakatau" or other similar sounds that Jens uses,on the Korg Polysix VSTi?Or just a plain polysix,with no external equipment?Thank you in advance! :P

MAybe you can get something good form the Korg Legacy Collection but it will sound crappy couse its digital..but you can still try with the right fx that Jens used!
You cant have the Jens lead with only a Polysix..you just need a distorsion pedal to chain with a Flanger but the phaser on the p6 will work good..
I want a polysix!!!
