It's too hard to call only one group. I like different music. No need to laugh but here's only some bands to point my musical taste:

- Rammstein;
- Uriah Heep;
- Chris Rea;
- Pink Floyd;
- Despair;
- Dark Tranquillity.

I don't have one single favorite band but here's what I've been listening to the most in past couple of months:

VNV Nation (Praise the Fallen, Empires, Futureperfect) - electronic music of the highest quality, both musically and lyrically.
Ministry (Houses Of The Mole) - newest album, kicks ass
Behemoth - death/black metal
Orphaned Land (El Norra Alila, Mabool) - one of the most original metal bands in the world
Amon Amarth (Once Sent From A Golden Hall) - no comments needed
Melechesh (Djinn) - black metal with mideastern influences
Dillinger Escape Plan (Calculating Infinity) - something very insane
Abotred (Engineering the Dead) - great grindcore band
Ancient Rites (And The Hordes Stood As One) - sort of black metal mixed with medieval melodies
Fiddler's Green - folk-rock
Cruachan (Pagan) - new album, great songs, very bad sound quality ... it sucks to be a poor band
Covenant (United States Of Mind, Nothern Lights) - also electronic music

but my favorite album of all time is Iron Maiden's "Somewhere in Time."

That was mine for a long time, until I discovered Ayreon (because of Bruce I bought an Ayreon album). But we're one of few that likes that album the most of Maiden. It's just a perfect album with no bad song on it.
btw I like Alexander the Great the most on that one.

Maiden is for me the nº 1, but there are many others:

Motörhead/Helloween/Gamma Ray/AC/DC/Rage/Grave Digger/Priest,


as you can see I´m an oldie. Time pass really quick jeje.

But I listen also a few "new" bands, as Edguy.

Rammstein is also a really good band, although it´s style doesn´t fit exactly with the bands I mentioned before. But they are really good.

My favorite band would have to be Killswitch Engage. Obviously, their latest album The End of Heartache is a real killer. Although if I had to pick more than one, Stratovarius would be second then probably Barenaked Ladies.

My favorit bands are Stratovarius and Mägo de Oz. But I like Gmma Ray, Inmortal and the Bitch Sons.

Well, I am spanish, and I didn´t mentioned any spanish band because I think most of you don´t know nothing about these bands. But Mago de Oz, Baron Rojo ( the best spanish band EVER), and Saratoga are really impressive bands. I recommend to all of you to listen them if you have the opportunity.

I can't say just 1 because the bands play different styles and I cant compare so I will say my favs of the different styles

Power metal: Stratovarius (15 years and a lot of albums ALL OF THEM incredible) but I also like the keepers era of helloween, not only because I love kiske's voice, and its my fav, the compositions were amaxing, true masterpieces..

With Female Voice: The spanish Dark Moor, now Dreamaker... I liked more dark moor, but dreamaker is not bad, and on their first album they have one of my favourite songs: Forever in your Arms

Prog Metal: Dream Theater (They are like gods) faling into infinity, scenes from a memory, six degrees, awake, images and words, even train of thougt and a change of seasons, all masterpieces (at the level of composition, if you like it or not is another thing)


well I could say favourite epic band, favourite ballad band... but I'm too tired XD dream theater and stratovarius are my 2 favs bands, but I cant compare them
