The reason for their breakup

Ok, lets face it, their 2 last albums arent as great as de others...(for me they are as good as before) But there's a lot of people that think that, but here's the deal: Do you think thats one of the reason for their breakup? may be a finacial reason? a secret that they haven't told us?
(Yeah right, like if they have to tell us right?)

CASIDIS!!!!!!!!!

Ok, ok, i dont mean that THEY did such thing, maybe the lawyers, or the Record company....whatever but not they.

In my OPINION, the two Elements are among the best Strato has ever done.

Well, I supose we can assume/speculate all we want, but the whole truth will probably never be told. Maybe, its none of our business--it maybe so personal&finances are personal, too, that its best left unsaid to the public. A redneck saying=Let sleeping dogs lie!

Its safe to say, I guess, part of it was Koti's decision--he wanted more freedom of expression. I'm not wasting my time worrying about that answer-not anymore.
I'd rather give my energies to hoping the band resolves its mess&at least has a working relationship again. I want to hear more of that great StratoSound!

what happened that happened and i think after nearly one year it doesn't really matter why. Also the possible reasons were discussed to death in this forum. But we have many new Users in this forum so if you want to discuss it. do it. i am sick of it. i think the most important thing is that timo defeats his illness . And when he is healthy again i think the future does not look so bad for stratovarius!The most important thing is that we doesn't lose our patience and give things the time they need may be years who knows. Time heals. One day i bet strato and its legions will be back and TK will sing those words from legions "Sons and daughters of the Rising Sun, the armies in Europe (of the world) here we come. We run like the wind we play from the heart, now we are here together we sing..........................".

Feel like i´ve seen this before, feel like i´ve been there before...

I believe, higher than financial business, was the stress of living together. Sure they have their own homes, but they spend A LOT of time with each other. Kotipelto said he was never so close friend with Tolkki, and i believe that the relationship with the others got spoiled somehow...

I remember reading a Keith Richards explanation of how could Rolling Stones last that long: "well, each band member live in a different continent, so you figure it out..."

well in my opinion the financial thing is no so relationed to the break, i mean, their made so much money since episode, have you ever seen the castle of jorg in germany....his house.....well, i just can have a fairy little image of the tolkki´s house..you know what i mean????
so for me this breakup thing is more relationed whit the comunication and personal relationship..and of course whit tolkki-kotipelto

My thoughts:

Kotipelto was in the band for a while now and wanted freedom of expression. Especially after Tolkki did not allow his Reasons songs to be on the album.

The cauldrons bubbling/the soda's fizzling got too much and the cap burst (if you pardon the metaphor), and the band got quite mad at each other. Now, there would be no reconcilation if they didn't have a contract signed with their publishers for several more albums with the current lineup. If they broke it, it would be a financial DISASTER. Hence, this financial situation made them think after all, "maybe we can work things out here,? in fear of what would come. And then, once they tried, eventually, they realized they can still be friends for an honest and good reason, rather than a money-related issue.

Who cares why they broke up? They're back together now, so let's rejoice for it!

But really, while the Elements albums were great in many ways, I didn't hear that special spark that albums like Fourth Dimension or Visions had. In hindsight, it was apparent that they did need a break from the music for a while, if not each other. I am not saying the Elements albums were bad, far from it! But there was a feel throughout some of the songs that was...I don't know, different. It didn't give me that same feeling as albums of the past did. Anyway, I don't want to elaborate any more on this unless I feel like getting ripped a new assh*le by some people.
