It's really easy actually!!!! what you do.... is you start with the ligther color first.... you put that all over the lid of your eye. (NOT up to the eyebrow!) Then you start in the outside corner of your eye with a smaller, angled brush and use the darker shade that you want and just lightly brush it into where your eye creases.... you have to go over it a few times to get it just right.... and then you go back with the light color and just put it in the inside corner of your lid, to clean up any of the darker shadow that might have gotten there by accident. And right under the eyebrow put a pearly natural shade to bring out the brow bone!!
I work at a MAC store to pay for college.... hahaha so if you ever need info with that kinda stuff I can help you!!!
