This wonderful compilation set me back $36.00!!! But, it was worth it. :) It is a Japanese import, hence the rarity&expense. I ordered my copy from MetalDisc.com&it took 5 weeks to arrive. So did CVAT, which was also $36.00!
I'd like to get,"The Past&Now" but, I don't wanna wait that long for another album again! :D
the past and now seems a great copilation...i think that worth wait to get this album... i cant get these rare albums because are too expensive to me... but i will try to find another strato album that ive found here in sao paulo....its called stratovarius 3 or 2...in cd...i need find again, and after i will try put the details here... 8)

My God! Only NOT Elements! It was exacly that time when Tolkki became totally crazy after the known grievous incident. Both Elements are soaking-wet with endless depression, not to mention "Hymn to Life"! I'd better call it "Hymn to Self-destruction"! Thank Goodness Tolkki's worst time seems is behind now.

Indeed, my favourites are Episode, Visions and Destiny. And maybe even Fright Night!

Bluha-a-a-a-r-r-r-rdh!!! I don't think it's a music at all. All that Burzum-Borknagar is killing me, even Satyricon, Bal-Sagoth and of that kind. I listen to metal for a long time already but still feel it's not my kind of music, not my philosophy. Strange that I, being a nordmann, do not find anything resembling black metal in northern forests. I've seen them more than once and not in a picture and they are truly NOT black and malicious! They're very very quite, rather gloomy and desert but never dark and depressing.

Elements Pt.1-2 are great albums and great creations. If you want to listen happy music, you can buy DJBobo's new album.
Timo Tolkki's words and thoughts are great on these albums as on the others. His music gives me power to live through the life, his words are my thoughts. So, my favourite band is Stratovarius, and I like all parts, all solos, all lyrics and all songs of Elements as I like Visions or Episode or Fourth Dimenson...

I don't understand you...

Elements is a mature, finished, grave album with good songs, harmonized and orchestrated, on a little bit progressive line. It's called: advanced.
And it's forceful.

I like it when the song is not - verse/refren/verse/refren/solo/refren/refren.
So, Elements is more difficult than this, I think. And the song itself: Elements is a perfect song with perfect choir. It's my opinion.

I like the other albums, just I don't understand: why do you say hurtful words about Elements none the less it is a real and good album? :?

It seems that you have difficulty grasping the term "opinion", even though you used it in your own post..
Here's the deal: Everyone sees the world in a unique way.
Just because you see Elements (1 or 2) as - in all aspects - a really splendid/horrible album, it doesn't mean that someone else can't like/dislike it, or say stuff about it that doesn't match your own opinion.
The things you deem "hurtful" might just be the other guy's opinions. No offense meant, just a friendly point.
So.. chill.

In my opinion, Destiny isvery best album, couse it's the most emotive of all. The Elements albums, are very good, the sound of the band it's unique. The lyrics are good (The lyrics of E2, One feels the pain of Timo). In spite of this, mybe the melodies are mediocre, but not too much

1. Visions, of course and it has it´s own atmosphere which any others don´t have. Also a bunch of very good songs like (The) Kiss of Judas, The Abyss of Your Eyes and Visions (Southern Cross)

2. Episode, nearly very songs are great and it is every time worth listening :music:, there is only one weak song and it´s Will the Sun Rise.

3. Infinite, my first Strato-album, very happy songs and there are some of my eternal favourites Infinity, A Million Lightyears Away and Phoenix. 8)

Episode.

Seriously. There's classics like Father Time, Will The Sun Rise, Eternity, and Forever. There's Season Of Change, one of the greatest songs ever written, both musically and lyrically. There's brilliant fast songs in Speed Of Light and Stratosphere. Even the less celebrated songs from that album, like Tomorrow, Night Time Eclipse, and When The Night Meets The Day, are absolutely brilliant.

Visions is a great album, and it does have Black Diamond and some other great songs, but Episode beats it, in my opinion.

But I'll point out that what I consider to be Strato's best song ever, Phoenix, isn't on either album. :)
