Just so you know straight from the "horse's mouth", those dates are all wrong! These are actually the dates of the Amorphis tour. I suppose all these Finns look and sound alike
Just to be extra super clear:
THE DATES AT THAT HOTMETALRADIO LINK ARE WRONG.
We are not on tour. We weren't in the midwest and Canada last week. We are not playing in Poughkeepsie in a few hours.
Having said that -- Amorphis are a fucking great band, you could do a lot worse than going and checking them out!!
Jens.

Jens, the only problem with that is that, if I wait until we know for sure, then there's a chance there will be no tickets left! I'd like to see you guys in September, either in Montreal or Toronto (Montreal would be better because it's on the date of my birthday ). But if I wait until late August, I might be screwed... It already happened to me once with a Nightwish concert in Montreal... The tickets were sold out before I got a chance to buy them!!! Arrrggghhhh!

As far as I can tell. I must stress that I am not really so much "in the loop". And that booked dates always have a tendency to change.

All I personally can say with any certainty is that we're not playing in Poughkeepsie tonight
WHAT! You're not going to Poughkeepsie?! But it's just such a happening place! Definitely the metal capital of the world, second only to Worcester. (Prounounced Wooster, not Wor-kes-ter) Actually, I've been to some pretty damn good shows there.
Glad you made the statement about not being in the loop on the dates. Maybe some people will finally realize the bands don't always have knowledge of the touring schedule way in advance. The on-again off-again Nightwish tour had got people here totally freaking out on them. Not fair. That said, looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta and back home in New York City!

lol, that happened here in Costa Rica with Nightwish... so frustrating!! we almost went crazy. There is a rumor from a very trustworthy person that stratovarius is actually doing some negotiations to come here as part of their south american tour. cant wait for stratovarius to anounce their tour dates!!

Hey don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's the band's fault if we don't find out the dates in advance. I'm sure they have nothing to do with that; what I'm saying is that it can be frustrating because you don't know wether to but a ticket or not; then you buy it and it turns out they change the dates (by "they" I mean the organizers) with almost no anticipation and you can't make it, and it ruins your plans. To give you an example, I live in Toronto but I'm Argentinean; last summer I went to Argentina on vacation and was planning to return on August 15 because I had already bought tickets to Nightwish for August 16 and didn't want to waste the money. It turns out that the night before coming back I found out that the Canadian dates were postponed until further notice. I was pissed off because I already had things planned, and finally I decided to stay for another week in Argentina, only I had to call the airline to change my ticket, and since I called the airline with less than a week's notice, I had to pay an extra 100 dollars. So again, I know this is not the band's fault, but from the fans' perspective, it is convenient to know the dates at least one month in advance. Tour organizers should realize this.
