Which song with another band would you like to hear Stratovarius play? Here is a list of songs I would like to hear them do:

* Thin Lizzy: Sha-La-La
* Uriah Heep: Wonderworld (speeded up a few knots of course)
* Rainbow: Stargazer/Light in the black
* Yngwie Malmsteen: Don't let it end (to show everyone who's the better guitarrist)
* Deep Purple: Speed king
* Nazareth: Razamanazz
* Motörhead: Bomber

More suggestions?

So where does the power come from to see the race to its end?

You have right. Strato have to have more variety! Timo with a Brian May solo - kicks ass :lol: (and some speed-scales after it :P ) But what about the big difference between Mercury's and Kotipelto's voice?
Hammer to Fall and Brighton Rock too? :wink:

They should do an album with Sonata Arctica where they both cover each others popular songs. Well, it would make me happy at least.

That would be a nice idea. Specially I would like to hear Strato making a cover of their Respect the Wilderness. Only problem might be that Strato has been like godfathers to Sonata. :wink: :roll:

I wonder if a famous power metal band (Stratovarius) makes a cover of any other power metal band it is very dicey.
Sonata Arctica was the very-very support band on the Infinite 2000 Tour. When Stratovarius was making their first demo, Jani Liitmainen was only playing Lego under the Christmas tree.
:P
What is Sonata Arctica compared to Stratovarius? (student/teacher, I think)
But it is true Sonata Arctica was a brilliant student :)
Nothing to say.

Any Heep song, maybe July Morning.
I haven't killed him yet sir,
But when I do, I shall have the stomach and the liver too,
And the floppily doppilies in their horrid glue.

Once in a show, Angra almost killed us - some Pantera songs all blend together, Sad But True(Metallica) and Hallowed Be Thy Name (Iron Maiden) in a row! Of course, none of you asked me that, but the point is: no matter how many songs a band has, a big surprise cover can blow the whole show to a higher level. This is just for the record, in case Strato gets to see this topic. A few songs I would like to see:
Perry Mason - Ozzy (could you picture that!?? :shock: )
Of Sins And Shadows - Symphony X
Reasons - Kotipelto ^^
Here I Am - Shaaman
Run To The Hills - Iron Maiden

I know, I know... just dreaming... :wink:

I don't think it's important who came first or who is bigger. I think it would work very well BECAUSE Sonata has taken so much influence from Stratovarius. anyway, it was just a random idea, nothing will ever come of it.

Yeah, them doing a Rata Blanca song would be cool but Timo K. would havta aprender hablar espannol (unless they did an English version).

"Don't Let it End" by Yngwie would be cool. Also "Under a Glass Moon" by Dream Theater, "On The Loose" by Saga, or maybe even "Separate Ways" by Journey. :lol:
