Does anyone else lament the lack of metal drummers?

Every drummer I find around here 'just likes some Indie pop/rock' or plays jazz. I respect Jazz drummers immensely, but dammit they cant do what I need them to. I make the Indie pop/rock drummers listen to some Emperor or Stratovarius, and they cry.

you have the freedom to put or not to put double bass in a song. just remeber that double bass makes it more powerfull.
i am a drummer, i play in various types of music from death grindcore metal to pop-rock and this is what i can say:
1.- a good real good drummer must be complete and should try to dominate all types of playing. from fast blasting with double bass to relaxed technical progressive rock.
2.- double bass DOES sound good with drums, if you dont know how to fit a double bass part on a song..... well that is your problem.
3.- i was talking about the people who play good with hands but they dont realise that they have to practise the feet too, its very important.
that way people like neonVomit could make his metal proyect real and play happy with his new band.

AND Money, more than any other instrument...johnny wrote:Personally i have found the Perfect drummer for my band . We play thrash-death metal and the guy rules at the double bass . Soon i will post some samples at my website and also the guy doesnt have any drums at his house and he is practising with pillows !!!
The reason why there are not good drummers in the wide area is that drumming needs soul and courage..!!!
