Here musicians can talk to each other about making music etc. Of course if you are not a musician you are still welcomed to this board, but the topics should somehow be about making music.

Nice drumming!!!
Well, I'm a drummer too, so I know what I'm telling. I'll maybe post some drums sound samples soon.

Perhaps you hit your snaredrum too much, especially on the first clip.
Oh and btw I play drums too

nice drumming bulbing. keep working
I play double bass,and it's a lot of fun.
Qhen i play rock covers or other genre music i try to take double bass in the songs, where it's possible and when i think it will sounds cool.
i have a powermetal band where i can put all my inspirations in music playing and composing.
When the site will be allright i will link it to you

I use it a lot too, cause I'm not very fast with my feet so I use it for Eagleheart for example

As you probably noticed I'm not very fond of the fast double-bass bullshit, so I surely wouldn't add some into a pop/rock song, IMO it sounds just awful.

Double pedal must be used carefully. Sometimes superfast double bass stuff is needed for a song. Other times, it simply isnt.
Several drummers out there don't know the difference *cough*SonataArcticaRhapsody*cough*

Wisest words I've read on this forum for a while

For Rhapsody especially it's a shame. They compose such beatiful melodies, the double bass totally ruins them.

But, how many times it took for you to learn to play double bass pedal correctly?

Depends what you call "correctly". If you want to play it quite slowly like in Eagleheart it's asy/ In less than six moths you're here. But if you want to play it like in Find Your Own Voice it's a lot more difficult

Well, I didn't think about playing Eagleheart or Find Your Own Voice, but about the regularity of the "right-left-right-left" pedal game....

Once again, it depends how fast you want to play it...

depends on the person.
depends on how much you will practise each day.
in one week you can play as eagleheart speed.
you just need the to get the same feeling on both foots.
if you keep practising double pedal for 3-4 months, you will actually be able to play Find your Own Voice.
REMEMBER: this isn't so easy, so when i mean practise is real practise!

You have to treat your feet like your hands.
Play paradiddle on double bass,or triplets with accents etc etc...
And then try to speed up what you play.
It's the same old song
Start with a slow 4/4 and then you speed it up with the metronome etc etc...
Make the best out of your dreams.

My brother is a drummer and he plays on bass drum with another technic. Not right-left-right-left. His feet are not fast but he can play about in 180bps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing to say.

indeed... though sonata arctica(tommy portimo) has started to make better drumtracks on the latest cd (reckoning night) not as much frenzie on the pedals
