Stratovarius In Australia (Possible? Ever?)

Post by Xephonium » Wed May 11, 2005 2:05 am

Its definantly been asked before, but obviously I'm new to the board.

Do you guys ever plan to come to Australia? I know there isnt a big fanbase here for your music, But it would be fuckin awesome if you guys came here to play a live show....Just 1 show would be sweet.

Well anyway...If you do, ill surely be there.

Cant wait for the next album!

No, they don't.
And secondly, when starting a new topic, especially about a question you have, make the topic name reflect your question, so only the poeple who know the answer come.

Hey Fifthea are you the new Stratovarius official press-agent?
So, do Stratovarius come in Italy and France? If yes, where and when? Thanx 8)

Anyway, Xephonium also if you are new here (WELCOME BTW:) ) use the search function before starting a thread like this...just an advice.

P.S: the StratoSecretary is right when he say to be more specific with the title of your post. It could be helpful.

Yes I'm aware of the search function, I just find if a new topic is made, someone might notice it some day :D

Looks like I'm going to have to go to Europe to see them...

I'm not really that new...

Great to know where the future gigs really are going to happen or not! Can you, filthy_sausage, also tell us poeple (if I am a poeple?) which might be the best way to ask if Strato will come to Australia?

To get Strato (or any other band) touring in your country you need to go harassing your local promoter(s) and convince them that there would be enough crowd willing to attend a gig/tour to cover all costs and make some profit. Then the local promoter might get interested, contact the band's management to make a contract and arrange a gig/tour for the band in your country. That's the way it works.

You can't just ASK them to come. There has to be a variety of reasons, especially attendance, and the travel prices, etc for them to come. Do you think that it would be very uneconomcial for them to come to your country but just because you "asked" they'll fly over?

But the fact is, flying all the way to Australia would be a waste of time and money and its not going to happen; thats common sense!

Nightwish did just recently few sold out? shows in Australia. Nightwish was able to do shows, because Roadrunner Records did promotion for Nightwish.

Edguy did also few shows in Australia, but those weren't so successful.

Has any record company released Stratovarius records in Australia?

Any promotion in Australia?

Stratovarius might just ask too much money.

Well, a mini-tour to Australia does surely cost a lot of money, especially the logistic.
Toutes choses étant égales, par ailleurs, la solution la plus simple est toujours la meilleure.
