About the tour...

Post by eternity_strato » Fri Jun 03, 2005 12:46 am

I really hope that it's the way I think, and not anyone else...

Will Hammerfall open for Stratovarius when available always? Because I read in some Internet pages that there are shows where Stratovarius opens for hammerfall due to Double Headlining...

Please tell me that the main band is Stratovarius and not those Swedish power rangers

I like Hammerfall, but I don't think they are bright enough for having Strato opening for them...

If Stratovarius open for Hammerfall at the London show, I'm leaving after Strato's set. End of story.

Sincerely I don't pay (and many more will do the same) for seeing Stratovarius opening for hammerfall.

In everything Stratovarius is bigger than hammerfall. And we want to see a big show with great songs, something special, not opening for another band after all that has passed.

I went to see hammerfall live 2 weeks ago. they dont play bad. the show was pretty cool actually.. and they are so humble, they went to a bar nearby and drink with their fans. it was cool...

but stratovarius opens for hammerfall...?????????? WTF?? hammerfall is good, but not nearly as good as Strato, its kinda obvious.

Agree. I like Hammerfall, though not as much as I used to.

But there are very few bands I would like to see Strato open for... maybe Maiden? Priest? Very few...

Hammerfall is going to open.

in my opinion the whole band is bored from headlining, so they decide to opening shows for ...ehm... "FileFall" I am just kidding, however better than all these 2 years without strato live

Hehe funny, I remember Symphony X fans saying this about Symphony X opening for Strato last tour.
(I appreciate all three bands btw)

I like Symphony X but damnit, I refuse to accept any rubbish about their superiority to Stratovarius

Hammerfall will open for strato,i think that only in few venue we'll se strato open for hammerfall.

For example in switzerland, they'll do 2 gigs,in one gig hammerfall will open for strato and in the other they'll change.

I think the double headlining is in terms of time, probably they'll play the same set (maybe one hour and a half),but i think that hammerfall will come BEFORE strato.

Anyway i really like Symphony X,i mean,i love them, but in terms of fans and selling records they're not as stratovarius,so it was normal for them to open for our finnish band :D

I find it so funny that a lot of people put Progressive bands above other bands.

To me, Iron Maiden is the greatest metal band *ever*. And they're not one bit progressive

And Stratovarius is surely miles ahead of Symphony X. Although Symphony X kick some huge ass.

^ You're right in one way, it's because Strato's got Jens Johansson. He's arguably the best, most talented and diverse musicians I've ever heard. With regards to the Symphony X thing, I said it CAN very well be the truth. Both bands are great in their own respect, but they are totally different from each other's style. I expected an answer like this guys above me because this is a Stratovarius forum, but it's o.k. to have differences in opinions. Peace.

I like SX too, it's in my very favourite bands (along with Strato and some others), BUT the way the guy said "my opinion is the truth" is too pretentious.

True. I mean, if someone lives and breathes power metal, then Strato will obviously come out on top of Symphony X. If someone is the same for more progressive stuff, then I'm pretty sure they'd go for S-X.

For me it's Stratovarius, definately :D

Not sure. On DT forum there are a lot of SX-haters.

It is CO-HEADLINING tour. So same time, same sound, same lights, same stage size for both bands. Usually in cases like that bands switch every night. I believe this is going to be the case with this tour. Anyway, what's the big deal about which band goes on later? For me, it is easy: If Hammerfall goes first, I'll have some beers and listen to them with one ear and then enjoy Stratovarius gig. If the other way around, I'll enjoy Strato gig first and then have some beers and look around for some good lookin' metal chicks 8)
It is another question I would like to ask: How many new songs will Strato play? I checked the poll and was sick of people stupidity. They voted for same old, same old songs the have heard god knows how many times before. Wouldn't it be nice to hear some stuff from first three albums and some rare or bonus songs like Curtains are Falling :headbang: and Cold Winter Nights :ola:
There's blood on my hands,
There's blood in my eyes,
With blood in my voice
I scream as you DIE!
