Yeah, i'm really really freaking out over the lineup. I am really hoping to be there. It's all finances from here out. Doesn't look good.

But....it looks better than i thought it was going to look, at least. Not GOOD, but better than terrible.....

I've heard only some yet. From power metal: Nightwish and EdGuy.

That's great idea, let's return to this topic just before the festival.

or right now ;)

I heard rumors that Sonata Arctica may be playing there. Nothing acknowledged though...

I hope for Amon Amarth and Finntroll to play.. oh and Naglfar... we still need a nice main act though 8)

Wow, that's cool. SA is very very good. And Finntroll: I haven't seen them, and they're a very LOL band. It would be a big fun to do a pogo on there songs. :)

So, who is coming? We should have a forum-meeting in Wacken. :)

Unfortunatelly, it looks like this year I won't go to Wacken Open Air, but since rumours about Stratovarius participation has appeard, the WOA 2005 gained new meaning:). Well, it sounds quite realiable, a kind of warming up before world tour.
In 2003, suddenly, somewhere between gigs, out of the blue, Saxon appeard, they played three songs and announced their participation in next year, so such things happen there. Maybe similar situation will happen this year with Stratovarius, because summer festivals 2006 are still to be announced, so maybe they play some songs this year, and confirm their show the next year?
Anyhow, those who go there this year - have good fun and great heavy metal feast! We are waiting for your reviews!

Oh yeah man! I'm there for my 3rd Wacken. Still wearing my bands from the first 2 years! Wacken is the shit, I've been getting hyped for months I can't wait!

I doubt that Strat will appear, but I soooo hope they will. There's still this about a 'special surprise act', but the clue to who it was was "the bandmembers live not in a same land", so that doesn't sound like Strat, unless it means that one of the band lives in another country (like Jens), but I read it to mean that all the members live in seperate countries.

God, I'm so excited I could shit!

Which bands is everyone going to see. I posted a topic here a few months ago asking for recommendations, and I've been researching some bands as well. The band's I'm going for are:

Nightwish
Illdisposed
Sonata Arctica
Edguy
Within Temptation
Machine Head
Apocalyptica
Corvus Corax
Turisas
Metalium
Dragonforce
Finntroll
Hammerfall
Kreator
Accept
Sentenced

5 days to go!

I knew it long before i went to Wacken...
But I´m not a big fan (dont kill me) so it was kinda not important for me especially only for 3 songs
