Really? well, i liked that album pretty much, but my big ones are Episode and Dreamspace. Anyway, take a deep listen to Abyss of your eyes, it's a quite worth listening song

Visions is Still my Fav StratoAlbum! Most of the songs are good, IMO, and this CD gave us BLACK DIAMOND, the song that gets voted all-time around fav time after time!
Personally, I love this album.

It's Strato's number 2 album in my opinion. Episode is the best, for me.

Still, an outstanding album, not one weak song on it. And it ends with Visions, an absolute classic.

And, like all truly great albums, the more you listen to it, the better it gets.

i like episode more, but visions is a close second place (with strato that is no joke), but i think this is one of the few people on the board who didn't really like visions...

@Dawn_is_Here, I think you just spoke for almost everyone!

Seriously, music is one of those things that is opinion-based, and every album on this planet has its "haters" as well as lovers. He is entitled to his own opinion&given that this is a discussion group, we have the right to disagree. :D

But, he loves Black Diamond so he does have good taste! ;)

It's their best album, Episode is second and Twilight Time third.
Visions is also best album ever, IMHO.

ok even though we have differing opinions, i found yours very refreshing, since EVERYONE loves that album, or so it seems. your dislike has somehow made my day. thanks :D (i know, i'm weird, but.) also, i empithize-- i don't really care for Destiny an immense amount (i like the songs individually, but the record feels like it has no cohesiveness or structure and seems almost thrown together), and i also didn't care for Episode as much as everyone else seems to...

but then, i do like their new album pretty well (review coming soon at sacredembrace.com! <-- shamess plug!!)

In my humble opinion this is the album, that could be called as the perfect diamond. In the begining, I liked only some songs as you do now. But later I realised more and more, how good the remaining songs are.
If I had to pick notsofuckingbriliantandgood songs, then I could pick only one, and it's still a very good one: Abyss of Your Eyes. It's really a good song, but not as good, as the other 9 on this album. My second (Paradise) and third (Black Diamond) favourite songs can be found on Visions. So no doubt, it's my fav album.

Why, thank you!! heh..

@ Beast_Pete: Funny, I'm the opposite -- I love The Abyss of Your Eyes. Funny how everyone here is drawn by a mutual love for Stratovarius, but nobody enjoys quite the same combination of songs. Interesting to read everyone's opinions... :)

Even though I think VISIONS is No.1 Album, I have a hard time ranking the rest of them because while all of them have maybe 1 or 2 "bad" songs on them, none of the albums "stink"(know what I mean--most bands in their career create one :puke: CD) So, its very hard to put them in any order of preference. But, I admit Dreamspace would be near the top(my opinion)and Fright Night at the bottom(also, my opinion).

For me Visions would still be on top (followed by Episode and Elements 1) and Infinite would be on bottom (followed by Destiny and Fourth Dimension).

I think I've done it before, but anyway:

1. Visions
2. Fourth Dimension
3. Episode
4. Destiny
5. Infinite
6. Elements 1
7. Twilight Time
8. Elements 2
9. Fright Night
10. Dreamspace

It was hard to ranking them from 6 to 10.

Well, since I am the Nut who brought it up, I guess I'll bite the bullet&try to give my opinion ranking, as hard as it is! :buh:

1. VISIONS
2. DREAMSPACE
3. EPISODE
4. Fourth Dimension
5. Infinite
6. Twilight Time
7. Destiny
8. Intermission
9. Elements I
10. Elements II
11. Fright Night

I did not rate the 3 Greatest Hits&Visions of Europe Live albums
but they would be in the Middle somewhere.

Mmm.. I don't think I can really rate them :?

Visions of Europe is awesome.. but since it isn't a studio album.. I believe Visions and Episode are the best.. Followed by Dreamspace and Destiny.
