I'm more than ok with people writing white mother, white father as long as they understand that white is not an ethnic background. :)

I certainly have no connections with, let's say, the Irish or the Flemish, and yet I'm white, that's all I mean. :)

Yeah sure but I have no clue about my relations hundreds of years ago so we´re just austrians with a bit croatian-hungarian from my mums site..
