I love Into Eternity. I've seem them at least 6 or 7 times and have become friends with the guys. I was looking forward to their set as much as I was to Strato's and I was not disappointed.

They know their kind of metal is a tough mix for the Strato fans, but they wanted to do the tour all the same to get as much exposure as possible. They are an extremely, hard-working, dedicated and very talented band. I hope at least some of the fans on this tour will be more open-minded.

Oh, u know, the thing is that I don't like death-black-whatever metal, and u know...it's a thing of taste.

Personally I didn't liked the show, but I did liked the singer and one of the guitars. :)

yes, the show fucking kicked ass! me and my friends stayed around till like 1:00 am, that's when strato came outside. we didnt see jorg though, only timo k, jens, and lauri. timo t just went straight into the bus and didn't come back out. shame, as he was the one i wanted to meet the most :? . jens is THE man. funny guy, he had some blue streaks in his hair, and my friend asked what's with the blue. he replied that he sucked off a smurf before  . timo k is all around a very nice guy. he was kind enough to come back out and take pictures and sign autographs for the fans. lauri was pretty funny too. however, he was so drunk off his ass, he had trouble putting out his own cigarette, so i did it for him hehe. here are some pics

Wasn't dissing you, hon, just putting in a good word for the band. That heavier style of metal is definitely an aquired taste. I listened to metal for over 20 years before I learned to appreciate it and then only because I got into bands like Mercenary and I.E. who mix it up with clean vocals and have very good musicianship. Without that, it's just a bunch of screaming noise, IMO.

Nice photos, theFabz. I was actually standing behind the person taking the photo making faces when that one was taken with Jens. Was a funny moment all around. :D

1-Don't, please, call me hon. (if u're a guy) :D
2-It is aquired taste, I'm getting there....I'm beggining to like some....u know...harsh vocals....
3-I don't know who those bbands are, should I check them out?
4-Without clean vocals and good music, it is just a bunch of screaming noise.

same here....

Into Eternity could be good....with out that growling/screaming stuff....nothing bothers me more in a band...then vocals like that....

they can play their instruments...they're not talentless.....just distasteful...

I have to agree. I could do without the "Cookie Monster" vocals. It just makes the band sound comical. I liken it to someone intentionally singing like the Chipmunks. Why do it? It sounds funny.

Into Eternity is very talented musically. Their blend of prog metal and death metal was interesting. It's just not my taste.

I have a crowd shot to share, and one of me and the drumstick I caught. TT threw that one! He just flipped it over his shoulder when he was talking to Jorg.

Damn, I have to get those pictures up. Working on it....
He did the exact same thing in Monterrey, my brother had it in his hand but dropped it....

NYC concert

Post by krochisy03 »

This was the first time I saw Stratovarius on concert. It was a pleasure to see them on concert. I don't know if they are like that in all concerts, but I felt that concert was very energetic. I'm from the Dominican Republic where there is a huge community of stratovarius fan. I don't know if they have thought about the posibility of going there, but right now I have the plivilege to tell my friends "I went to their concert!!!!!". I have known about someone from my country that traveled to Spain just to see them in concert. It was a great experience, I would like to repeat it again.

Like that photo of you with Timo K. I have one taken backstage in Atlanta a while after the set was over. But I think I look a bit uh...tipsy, so I don't think I'll post it,
