(or Lande/Allen, or whatever. I'm renaming the project "That dude from Masterplan and that dude from Symphony X".)
Anyone picked this album up yet? It's bloody amazing. Two of my favourite singers on one album, how could it possibly be bad? Magnus Karlsson, the principal songwriter on the album, sure knows how to write a catchy tune...here's hoping they'll do more albums in the future.
Certainly a contender for album of the year. On my list anyway.

Yeah, it was released September 19. Either that or the shop I ordered it from has a time machine.

Re: Allen/Lande - The Battle
No Dave, it has already been released, one of two months ago if I remember right. bBt perhaps it also depends on the countries ?
I heard one song from it. It was quite good, even if it didn't drive me crazy. It sounded like both Jorn and Russell only sang what they had to sing, without getting too much into technical stuff like they do in Symphony X or Masterplan.
I also read in a magazine that somehow, Russell regretted to have recorded that album (perhaps because he isn't satisfied with his singing on it, or perhaps because of the quality of the songs, I have no idea...).
Still, i think Jorn and Russell are ones of the best metal singers at the moment, so even if the quality of the album might be only "ok" (like I said, I hadn't listened to the complete album) , it is worth to be owned, just to hear the great singing of 2 dudes!

Good HardRock...i heard some songs and its fine, nothing soo much exciting, im not a huge fan of Masterplan and SymphonyX...but Jorn is one of the greatest vocalists now.
Btw...the Russel solo album is good too.

I've not heard this album yet, but some friends said it is quite good.

Re: Allen/Lande - The Battle
I gotta say that they are two of the best vocalists in metal music. The only other that I think is better than those two is Roy Kahn of Kamelot. That guy is amazing.
The Allen/Lande album was pretty good, but I think that the music is lacking. There's nothing special about it, everything just revolves around their vocals. Which is still good, but in Symphony X and in Ark/Masterplan the music added an element to the albums that made them great.. and not just good.
