Steve Vai, here in Orlando at the House of Blues a few months back. Awesome show. The place was packed. Steve was awesome, as usual. Tony MacAlpine and Billy Sheehan were great too.

2 years ago I saw the G3 tour at the same venue. That was the best concert I have ever been to, period. PLUS I got to meet Steve, Yngwie, and Joe after the concert and got some CD inserts signed. My girlfriend and I got our picture taken with Steve Vai.

I had been wanting to meet Steve and Yngwie since I was a kid.

I want Stratovarius to come to Florida!!!

Last gig was Apocalyptica. Awesome! These guys rocked a lot! It was very hot inside and the freaks on the stage played a wonderful set - many Metallica covers :)

If you have the chance to see them - do not pass it!

Nope, sadly not Zurich. Most metal bands play in Switzerland in Basle, only the giants play in Zurich as Stones, Metallica or AC/DC...

I was in Pratteln, it was too much for me! Unbelievable! I didn't believe my eyes as I saw 117db!
and: soon my report of the gig will be online (for your german lesson :) )

Fortunately I had my plugs in my ears... 8)

I would be glad to read your report. Mine is already online on my webzine but I must translate it into english...

The crowd was 117db, not the band! It was new record in the hall Z7.

If I have time, I will translate my report to english, but it wouldn't be the same so it's better you learn german

I've seen Blaze yesterday in Duisburg. GREAT SHOW!!! They were absolutely excellent. Mr. Baley is one of the best fronters I've ever seen. I already liked him in the Maiden-era. But standing directly at the stage, you just HAVE TO party! Definetly gonna see them again next year!

Yesterday eve, I have seen Shakra with a crowd of less than 200 people. The atmosphere in this location is very familiar and you are so close to the band. It was an awesome gig once again and they rocked the house as well! It was so cool, they played a wonderful show and performed very well!

Children of Bodom with Ektomorf in Budapest.
It was cool, but both bands played a short setlist. In the begining and in the end I was in the moshpit (was there no moshpit at all? )... omg, it was really dangerous. Sometimes it happened that someone (including me) fell to the ground, but the others were really helpful and tried to pick up us immediately. But once I stayed on the floor for about 30 seconds imho, as they couldn't pick me up because of the big mass of people.
They played awesome songs (I won't spoil them), so it was worth it. Ohh, and I'll see them in Wacken this year too. ;)

Last night I saw the Sodom / Finntroll thing... My drummer's other band, Burn to Black, was the opener... I was so proud of them :P

Finntroll was awesome. For some reason I couldn't get into Sodom live -- I think I'd rather listen to their albums... I just couldn't be bothered to stay for their entire set. Somehow the stage show just wasn't really that interesting... a lot of people left after Finntroll, too. Anyway, I was slightly bored plus my contact lenses were drying out, so my head was hurting :P

'twas a fun night, anyway...

How the old year ends so the new one started: Shakra.
Cool gig for a pub's 10th anniversary. They played a little bit different set than through the last tour so it was a surprise for me too :).
The guys still rock and I like it still. They played both long songs "Trapped" (I'm in Trance...) and "Walk on Water" (awesome!). I talked to Thom Bluniert (g) and told him he could not play a headliner gig without these two songs and he answered "we will play them".... My eyes glittered 8)
The drummer threw a stick in the crowd, directly in my arms....
a negative point was the young kids who where for the first time without parents on a gig. They pogged as newbies but didn't have the condition for 95mins so they gave up after the second song *hahahaha*....

Unfortunately it's my first school day until 8.05pm, gig begins at 8.00pm so I pass for sure Sabaton but it is important than I can see Dragonforce!

To be honest, i don't think i'm going to be going to any gigs for a while. Firstly because i have hardly any cash at all as i have no job now, and secondly, i don't think i'll enjoy myself as much anymore...dunno why, i just haven't been into gigging that much lately.

I was at the Edguy/Dragonforce/Sabaton-gig last week.
Sabaton: I passed the whole gig. On the highway was a limitation of 80km/h. arg, was so shitty!
Dragonforce: last 5 songs. Cool, it was really cool. I like DF a lot! and they really play as fast as on the albums!
Edguy! cool guys! played a wonderful gig. Tobi, yo all know how he is on stage! jumped, run and made the clown. sung wonderful and talked a lot of funny shit :)

If you have the chance to see them: do it!
