Japan tour!!

Post by Vicky » Sun Jan 22, 2006 1:11 pm

Hi guys and girls!

I've never posted here but Stratovarius is now in our country and I want you guys to know how did it go...they kicked ass!

I saw the show on Wednesday in Osaka, the first day of the Japan tour.

The venue sucks- the stage is only 30cm high and only people in front row or 2nd row can see the stage properly and when I saw other band there people were pushing each other until you can’t breath…that sucks a big time! But this time that venue was on my side-I could see the stage in 2nd row. I was standing at the edge and Timo Tolkki was playing guitars only 1 meter away from me. I could see band members from their heads to toes, I could see everything, that was excellent!
Besides, they usually don’t fail to come to the edge of the stage. I could shake hands with Timo Kotipelto while he was singing :) :) :) and Lauri Porra when they’re leaving the stage :) :) :) I thought they would only touch our hands but they did hold our hands one by one for some seconds, and that was tight :) :) :) what a great band! I could see that Timo was wondering whose hand to hold next before he held my hand :)

As we can see in the video clip of “Hunting High And Law”, the way Timo Kotipelto performs is really cool, and he was the same when playing live. The way he acts on the stage was also really cool!I thought he's a real star, not only an excellent singer.
Lauri smiled to the crowd so many times which made us feel happy too.

The show was really hot, setlist was awesome, I could take really good position to see the show, I could shake hands with band members, and I wasn’t pushed by the crowd at all, …what can I ask for more?? This is definitely the best show I’ve ever experienced!

Seeing shows are so addictive…since it was the first day of their Japan tour, Shows in Nagoya and Tokyo followed and I wanted to see them again so much which is not easy for me to go other cities...
That was a hot and great show, you made us really happy, thanx Stratovarius!!!

The show started with “Hunting High And Low” which made the crowd really excited and pleased from the start.
setlist:
Hunting High And Low/ Speed Of Light/ Kiss Of Judas/ Maniac Dance/ Destiny/ Against The Wind/ Bass solo / Coming Home/ Twilight Symphony/ United/ Father Time/ -encore- Paradise (only chorus part) / Forever/ Eagle Heart/ Black Diamond

If I complain one thing they didn't play "Will The Sun Rise" which is my top favorite, but I know they have heaps to perform and something has to be dropped.

I already can't wait to see them again. As Timo said, See you somewhere!
Call me black, call me white, call me anything you like
Just don't call me late for the party!

I really had a good time.
I was so impressed with Strato's performance.
I like especially "Black Diamond" and "Forever.", so I'm verry happy to have listened to them.

Thanks for coming to Japan. Please come and see us again. I was near the fence so that I could see Stratobarius because I was a little short.

I'm happy to see fine Timo and to enjoy his playing the guitar. I can't wait next time to see Stratovarius.

Just one question? What sizes did they have? I wanted to buy one, but there was only XL. And guess what... my size is M, although L looks good too... I bought one but you know, it can fit 2 like me!

I had the same problem in 2003. They had only XL, while my size is M, and L fits me too, but XL...
Anyway, I still bought that shirt. :P

Hi guys!Thanx for reading and the welcome!

Pics...I wish I could take some but taking pics are strictly prohibited here (really strict!!) and if you do, you would be kicked out or they're gonna stop the show, so no one take pics. What a shame...

T shirts...Sorry I didn't pay attention to them cuz I don't buy them, I look horrible if I wear T shirts and I always wish there would be tank top girlie which is OK with me...and they had!!! :) So I bought a tank top girlie, nicer design than the one on the stratoshop :) I think they had M and S and XS.
They always cost a lot but buying one is a way to show respect and say thank you for the band for the good time and the music, and the way to support too, and the last but not the least I can enjoy with them showing off to people :D

Hello lbspielman! It would be nice if we can talk in our own language at Discussion in other Languages section :D
