Malmsteen. :x

It was a fucking rip-off. :x He came without the keyboardist and without the singer. The band was coming to Canada from the US, but the keyboardist and the singer were not allowed to enter the country. I remember wondering why there wasn't a keyboard on stage before Yngwie came out. He just spent the whole fucking concert improvising and singing a little. :x Yes, he's one of my favourite guitar players, but FUCK, I didn't want to listen to him improvising for two hours! I wanted to listen to some real songs, like Rising Force, No Mercy, etc. We got none of that. And of course, we didn't get our money back. To make things worse, many people didn't seem to care at all; they were just happy to see their guitar "god" on stage, regardless of the fact that he was screwing all of us. :x My friend and I spent the whole night after the concert cursing Yngwie.
If irony were made of strawberries, we'd all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now.

 wtf?

man...i bet that was total cool in the first 10 minutes, after that i bet that really SUCKED hard :?

The promoters really should cancel the gig when happen things like that.

oh, btw...better listen malmsteen sweepin than andré matos screaming like a retarded chicken "e ai galeraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, sããããããããão pauloooooooooooooooooooooo....é lindo estar aqui"

*waaaaaaaaaaazzup people, saaaaaaaaaaaaaao pauloooooooooooooooo...its beautifull be here*

oh, my god...its a slowly suffocated death listen that, he trying to sing high and other nonsense bullshit that he say. :x

Hmm.. i've seen a lot of terrible bands.. whoever it was who opened for Apocalyptica the first time i saw them was dreadful, but i can't remember what they're called. and... a lot of other really awful smaller no-name bands... 90% of the battle-of-the-bands stuff is ghastly!

Soilwork was really disappointing, Trivium and Mnemic made me want to never hear music again and Dimmu Borgir really bored me :( Maybe I caught them on a bad night, though I've heard other negative things about them. Life of Agony were painful, too...
The most recent time I saw Children of Bodom I left feeling really dissatisfied! Janne looked bored out of his fucking mind. :( i think i need to give them a rest before i go to another CoB show :?

The worst band I have ever seen, hmmm that would pretty much be every band at Ozzfest 2005 except for In Flames and Iron Maiden. Sitting through shitty band after shitty band was worth it though to finally get to see In Flames and Iron Maiden. I also had a great laugh at Black Label Society, good god someone get the clothes pin off Zakk Wylde's nose when he sings.

The most boring band I ever saw live? Without any doubts : Dream Theater. Their albums are great but they are shitty live band...

No. 6 Degrees and Train of Thought were really good. Octavarium is boring, that's true.

To be honest, i didn't think much of Strato live...they were like robots, but they weren't the worst, that award goes to Godsmack probably, supporting Metallica back in 2003.

Strato isn't robot. I saw them 2 concerts after each other this winter, and those concerts were not the copy of each other. :)

Hmmm... Stratovarius never disappointed me. Perhaps you saw them as they had problems with the atmosphere in the band?

The most boring band I've seen is Steve Vai's. Saw him in Budapest last year.

It was really nice, at the beginning. Steve did some amazing things for about an hour, and I thought hey this is a very nice-looking show. But then, the bad things started; a 10 minute drum solo, a 15 minute keyboard solo with a sickening blue light, and finally another 10 minutes of bass solo. It was too much...The show started around 9 and finished after midnight. I was looking around me and all I could see was happy faces. Did anyone know what exhaustion means? I doubt it... Maybe it is just not my style of a gig...
I asked my friend later what was his opinion and he said, 'just great, did you see what he did?' I guess that answers my previous question...
Next time and, IF I go, I'll take supplies for 2 days with me...

Since I've seen Sonata and Strato live, I can't make more complaints!

I fear someone will start to hate me when I say this, but the worst live band-award from me goes to Sonata Arctica
I've seen two gigs from them... another in Tuska 2002, wich was just absolute crap! Tony practically didn't hit a single note during that gig and the band was total devastation in about all ways  but that was nothing compared to the other gig I saw from them... the mixing of drums alone was total devastation :x not to mention Tony and the boys' most terrible performace :?

Hated both gigs, and lost all of my ability to listen the band after those two gigs :P

Maybe you saw them too early? I suppose you have heard Fullmoon on the Successor EP...
Anyway, maybe they didn't have much exp. back in 2002
When I saw them everything was perfect, except for Marko maybe, he looked like this :(
Why don't you try again?

Well I´d say when looking the most photos taken on nearly every Strato-gig on this tour, they all look the same. So, I understand that they are behaving like robots sometimes... Sorry.

I saw SA in 2003, and they weren't that good, but in 2004, they were so fucking great. I think, they got better by now. You really should give them another chance.

And perhaps guys from Sonata have become mutch better now, but I allready know that my distaste for the music would ruin the gig experience :P

well... from the (many) gigs that I have seen of them, I can say that things can radicaly change from one day to another : some of their gigs can be absolutely fantastic, almost perfect (Lyon 2003), some totally awful (Tuska 2002) ! 8)

Whitesnake. Back in '90. Steve Vai was cool, but David Coverdale's voice was way off.

They redeemed themselves, well, at least Coverdale and Tommy Aldrege did back in 2002. Age, experiance, sobriety= a very tight Whitesnake lineup. David's voice was awesome this time around

Wow, I've seen Steve Vai, and Yngwie Malmsteen a couple different times a piece, and once together with Joe Satriani on the G3, I was never dissapointed.

I would give anything to see Stratovarius and or Sonata Arctica live.

Well, on the Godsmack thing. I saw them when they were opening for Sevendust and they sounded pretty good to me. Considering what a mockery Metallica is, I would have much rather seen Godsmack than those non-metal jackoffs Metallica. It is sad I always did dream of seeing Metallica back then. Then came shitty album after shitty album and it pretty much completely killed them for me. Who needs them anyway, Dave Mustaine still kicks their ass all over the place.
